I can say its operated flawlessly in the 450-550 whp range.

Only tested to max 620 whp (per their shop build post) - which is what basically Sam would guarantee it to. I believe the upgraded 5AT internals are all relatively similar (increasing the number of clutches and using high friction pieces). Even SGP's which their website claims is good to 1000 has only been tested to 650 I believe (per Ron's post).

Someone with big power should put it to the test. All guarantees are gone at that point, but with that much power, I suppose that's kind of a given.

The thing drives beautifully though - very civilized shifting under 3k rpms and neck snapping aggressive above that.

damn, sorry to hear about the shop issues. I was pissed when I took my car to another shop and it took 3 weeks longer than expected and a seatbelt had a stain on it. I would be sitting on my couch cleaning a gun if this happened, jk. but seriously you guys are some patient and understanding people. hopefully it works out

Well I was putting down over 500 on the SGP but then it stopped holding torque in 5th, then 4th, then 3rd, etc... I wasn't sure if it was the TC or the Tranny so after some advice from the forum I shipped the tranny. Orginally when I spoke with Mark he was cool and said I'd have to pay shipping but they'd fix it for free under warranty. Now I can't get a hold of them. Will update when (if) I get it back. Plan on shooting for 650-750 range with my build when it's fixed.

I know someone on the forums who waited 3-4 months on a rebuilt turbo . I know another person here, who had issues with them and ended up taking their car to Forged.

People, get your cars from over there

You know whats crazy. I know four shops that use the same machine shop as them and customers are receiving their parts/blocks left and right. Matter of fact, my friend with a 240(RB swap) had his motor built through them and he had it back in two weeks.

OP,

Check to see what contact numbers Intense has for SGP. To my knowledge, Intense did not have any problems reaching SGP for my 5AT build. When I walked into Intense last week, Han was on the phone with Mark himself discussing my transmission.

My transmission was just shipped to them this past week and it's supposed to be shipped back to Intense next week. I sure hope that I don't have any of the problems that you or turismo mentioned!!!

Mark would never answer my calls, even before our falling out. They'll sit their and let the voicemail accumulate to where it says voicemail full.

I would have to call from my friends 210, 310, 972 area codes just for him to answer and when he picks up, he would sound surprise to hear it was me.

A customer of SGP pm'd me earlier that is still waiting on his built motor for 5 months now

Well supposedly the shop went thru some damage due to IKE. I completely understand that, but what was happening prior to the hurricane!! According to SGP, the machine shop is responsible for the "delays" !! I need some real answers!!!!

They are where hoping the hurricane hit(seems strange) so they have something to blame it on.

Im telling you, the peoples cars that are up there, are waiting months and months for their parts(built motors, clutches, etc.....). Their machine shop is GnG machine in Tomball, Tx .

I tried several times to order from them. They never returned my calls.

Their website update was never completed either.
