Default Blow Off Valves

Hey guys, first off, I am not a G/Z owner, I actually own a Mustang. I have a Vortech supercharger on my car, which currently uses just the Bosch bypass valve, but now that I am pushing too much boost for that little thing to handle, I need to go for a something a bit stronger. I know that the easiest thing to do would be to make a few piping adjustments and put in a better BPV, but I am now looking at converting to a blow-through system, and using a BOV. The only issue I am having is, nobody in the ''Mustang world" really does this normally, and I cant find any decent reviews on the BOVs. When I search on google, I get too much of kids cheering at the sound of compressor surge for me to trust.

So, which are the ones that you guys normally use? I am looking for something that will hopefully not fail on me (ie. doesnt surge or pop off my intercooler tubing lol), and for something that sounds good, particularly a more "gushing" sound opposed to a whistle.

Sound clips, you tube links, personal reviews, etc would be sweet.

Thanks guys!

I was looking at the HKS SQV, it seems to be a pretty decent one. My only issue with it is that it has a more of a whistling noise. Nothing wrong with that, but I think it would sound silly coming from a Mustang. I feel like I will get a lot of "sound like an import" comments lol.

Did you mean Tial? I know they are a good brand. How does theirs sound? I cant really find any decent clips of them.

I had a supercharged (M62 roots blower) Ford Probe GT before getting a Z. I had a BOV on there to start with but then converted it to a bypass do to constant nose. The roots blower was loud to begine with, and with the BOV venting all the time (except WOT) it got really annoying. So that's something to consider.

I am assuming that you have a Vortech kit but it's the same thing with all superchargers, as they are positive displacement pumps. My friend has a 2002 mustang and the bypass is very quiet.

Which of the Tial are you guys talking about? On their site they have a few different ones.

@ boostedProbe
Actually the Vortech is not a positive displacement blower. All I have is the centri V2 blower, just like what they put on the G/Z's. (Actually, they are putting out the V3s now.)

I'm running the Tial and I love it! Just have to lower the spring in it so it doesn't flutter anymore.
