Looking good. I'm excited to see what your new Garrets are going to do! Good luck
Thanks Clint..... I'm excited too
nice progress. your one brave man using all that poweder coated stuff again...good luck man i wish you the best
Thanks alan.... the progress is all due to the great vendors I was working with, the turn time was unreal. As far as the powdercoat, I'm just a bit stupid like that, but if it goes wrong again I quit.
looks great man! glad the end is near by
Thanks man.... me too, its been a long road.
So do I get to see it run Sunday?
- See you at the F:T BBQ
I want at least 7 videos posted!!
I'll gonna make more vids than Ron Jeremy brother!!! I'll make one just for you doing a 20mph flyby under idle with the flashers on
^ So sounds like the car might actually run on Sunday? This is like the most anticipated build of Mid-A in the past 2 years!
Starts and runs right now . The tune is just way off since this motor is so much tighter than the last one. As soon as the dual pumps are installed I am having it towed to F:T (taking zero chances). It all depends on how much time Dave will have with the car before Sunday.

Cooooool! Let me c0ckblock Dave both Friday and Saturday night to ensure that he won't have a date so he can have more time to finish your car!
Great to see it come back together Cass. Can't wait for the tune. If you're gonna make it to the airstrip event, let me know, maybe I'll make an appearance.
Looking good man, everything got turned around so quick, Frank is the man.
Weather isnt looking good for Sunday
Don't let the rain scare you off man, I figured it could help wash the dust off for you. My car is filthy right now, its got a nice layer of shop dust coating everything. The rain just may add some nice ricer racing stripes.
Frank is the man.... no doubt about it. He stayed last night and fabbed me a bracket to move the washer fuild reservoir so the air intakes look symetrical through the bumper inlets, I'm ghey that way . Front is back on now and we removed all the amber from the parking lights now as well, just begging to get pulled over.
Fuel pump stuff today I hope and shiipping that bish to F:T.

You should run up to PA and get your beast!!! You ever coming back up north again, or should we just consider you as moved down south??
As far as the airstrip, it will be a gametime decision. I actually thought it was next week, but now I see its the 27th, so I have some more time. I may even just drive down for that and not go to ZdayZ, but seeing all the Z/Gs on the road down there will be hard to resist. My restaurants are real busy right now with the holiday weekend and graduations coming up, so I actually have to try and make a few bucks at the same time this is going on. Oh, and my delivery van threw the timing chain at 70mph this past Sunday, bent all the valves and the motor is done.... had to buy a new van this week too FTL!!
Air strip event is May 28th (not 27th). You get an extra day. Just put some miles on it. The trip down will help too. Sharif actually breaks motors in on his DD dyno. If you keep some ramps in the back and do your final oil change to synthetic at the strip. There is an AutoZone close by (unfortunate that I know this). No worries and good luck!

- Thanks Raj. Dave will do break in on his DD as well. The car will be on its 3rd or 4th oil change by the time I leave if all goes as planned. The only issue will be how difficult tuning the Vi-PEC proves to be, plus I don't want to have to make any more tuning trips to VA once I get the car back.
All I want is massive power, a perfect tune for around town and full throttle, and I want it done yesterday.... I'm pretty much a shop's ideal customer

You're totally right. It's not a common ECU and there aren't a lot of experience/documentations out there. I say you let Dave take his time to do some intense testing before anything! If say it's a FCon, UTEC that'd been out for a while or the Autronix that Dave has a lot of experience in, then pick up the car and go vroom shrooooom shrroooom!
You've waited this long, missing one event or two should not be a big deal!
