My Build: The Good, The Bad & The Progress
Definitely me Ethan.... trailer car to event, push car onto show floor, never pop the hood, push back onto trailer and then push it back in the garage
.
Getting ready to get back at it shortly once the wife and kid leave for the amusement park and I get done playing guitar hero with my son. Gloves, mask and long sleeves today for sure, the fiberglass is making me itch.
Dave and Frank are doing a great job of keeping things moving and communicating with me about where we are in the process. Things are coming along.

Catching up on this thread Cass - glad you've got positive traction.
I looked through about a dozen pages - was a pic of the headgasket posted? Were there signs of headlift? L19 studs used? Why was the oil grey - coolant contamination? Looks like you never got an ultimate cause of failure, but what's the differential diagnosis? Oil pump vs clogged oil channel vs ???. If coolant started mixing with the oil and the car continued to be run hard, would that be able to cause all this damage (for the engine builders out there)? (not trying to rub salt in the wound Cass - just trying to learn if there's something to be learned).

I had a issue i couldnt figure out with my turbo vq35 maxima i used too run (11.5 @124mph on stock bottomend) it would miss and fall on its face underload here i had 2 bent rods.
Three and a half hours later I finally got the subs to fit. One doesn't work of course....buying from the classifieds strikes again, there goes $300. Another DIY fail...... oh, and I chipped the box too, AWESOME!!!!
Time to stay away from the FI forum and nip pick on everyone's post and start learning more about other things? I know you're going to start using the Search feature and pull a bunch of threads/posts to try to move me wrong so you'd sound like the ultimate FI star again. Please do
I'm not here to take over your glorious spot.

being wrong is not a big deal, being angry and wrong is....just be wrong
Time for me to get back to read-only mode on the FI forum. People are WAYYYYY too sensitive and don't detect any humor here. Especially in this thread (maybe the situation got a little emotion and there's no room for laughter anymore).
LOL surprised to see that you still don't detect the sarcasm.
I guess a few Mid-A guys should jump in and tell you to NEVER take bb1314 (Ethan) seriously. Too many people got butt hurt over my sarcasm before for no good reason. Shxt... even I don't take myself too seriously sometime.

So are Dave and Frank working on the car at the same time, as in Frank is going to FT whenever there is work to be done on your car? Just trying to understand how the work is being done this time.
Glad you at least have the car at home Cass, it is tough going to the garage and not seeing your vehicle for a period of time. Are you documenting progress? I would file a weekly progress chart and make sure everything is being done as said.
I don't care whose it is. It still looks tacky. IMO it graduated from a tacky looking show car to a tacky looking drag car.

Lets leave the tacky thing alone could we? It's a subjective topic that will never lead to conclusion. It's like you probably think my girl is ugly and I probably think your mom is fat. But at the end of the day I'm fuxking mine and you're sleeping with yours. It's a personal choice kinda thing. Lets stop with the personal attack. I thought we're here to show support to Chris.

Can't say I'm surprised.
Nice! mang
