XKR Super G... Going for Mach 1
RudeG and Quicksilver are like Yogi Bear and his side kick Boo Boo. Once RudeG get's on someone, Quicksilver is sure to follow.

What ever..., rudes feelings on the supra were about the same as mines and str8 as well..and also i am sure of anybody else that has been on a ~900whp supra. Because of the achivements of the supra as a community and as a platform it makes perfect sense to make it THE benchmark. This thread is another example of "us" getting there.

I do often quote other references and provide links to those references, which is proper when using those references to support a position. Unless I provided a link or some other citation for a source, the work was my own.
OK Back on Topic
MIKE,
Here is something for thought....some real world thought and safety. We saw Albertos thread where he almost lost it due to the fornt clip....About same time I had an issue arrive with my front clip and now I have pics.
This happened after several spirited trips tooo....well, we'll say north of 160mph!!!!! (probably 6 or 7 pulls up there that night)......one of the guys I ran noticed my front bumper looked like it broke off....well it was still attached but it had cracked....Oln both sides.
The bumper cover is still screwed on at its mounting points, but the bumper cover itself cracked and separated......This is a bone stock front clip at we'll call it 170mph
*Sorry car is dirty*
Driver side

Passenger side

Just somethin to think about
Tom

Mike has the Kuruma Z bumper, which is polyurethane. I have the same one. No isssues so far, I had it up to around 160 mph a few times (on the track, not street). Considering Mike will be pushing 200 mph, though, a little bit of reinforcement would not be a bad idea.

The plans for my car has always been to have the body reinforced (front, rear bumpers and also the undercover)....Terry is correct about the polyurethane....because I have driven my car at speeds over 175 many times without any problems.....but I will have the front reinforced.

Yea, lets just forget about the fact that the largely detuned factory engineered 3.0 cast iron block known as the 2JZGTE was damn near bomb proof and actually required effort to blown the damn thing apart, let alone its impressive increase to modifications and untapped power potential. Lets just sweep that under the rug and say it was just because of big turbos.

........Yup....no such thing as "over building" when running a car over 195mph
