XKR Super G... Going for Mach 1
Thom, it does look like your car, but you are at almost 2x the boost
But its till 54 vs 61.8mm turbos. Its a good indication of what Mike's dyno prolly shoulda looked like without clutch issues.
Interesting your clutch held that much power for how inexpensive it is(was)

**I had to extrapolate past 6000rpms from Thom's dyno as his chart stopped there.

Cool, yea I did 690rwhp @ 25psi....like you mentioned smaller turbos, less disp, no where near the headflow (stock cams) oh and stock intake too...forgot bout that...
and being stock cams, power falls pretty bad above 6250rpm
Can't wait to see Mike's with the whick turned up
yea that clutch is about the absolute best bang for your buck if you are up to about 650rwhp
tom

I'm pretty sure this clutch issue with the magazine will not be an issue. Just go tell him to drive a Dodge Viper, lol. Talk about a harsh clutch

trust me... We will get this done
I think Jorge asked how old my clutch was.... I had it installed in 2007 when I first installed the 700bb....no more than 7k on it... But it was tracked alot when it had the 700bb. It held up well to the 850bb on DD.

considering the leakdown on your motor, i'm sure those miles were just as hard on the clutch
LOL!
My spec twin disc is very streetable. The one I have is said to hold 900 crank trq and make up ones that hold up to 1400. Maybe not that important, but they are about 1/2 the price of that OS. I'd give them a call as well. I talked to a tech there the other day and he was helpful and knowledgeable.

Lol.....someone pm'ed me that I should install a 1500 whp clutch...Make the power then swap.....it's an idea...but it would look bad in print if I get caught
trust me... We will get this done

the magazine driver will probably not know the difference. Just put in the build comments that you use a heavier clutch for dyno pulls because of the stress. I don't see that being wrong or dishonest in any way.
if the quad drives anything like the twin then it'll be fine. I think it will have a lot more grab to it though with all the friction material. My os giken twin is more streetable than the 6 puck clutch i had in the car before.

I just drove my Z for the first time today with the OS Triple, and boy is it fun to get into 1st! It's like an ON/OFF switch. There is NO slipping that clutch to get it rolling from a stop. After that, it's great, but I'm still trying to get my technique down getting into 1st gear. My ATS triple was a lot easier to drive, that's for sure.
With a tough clutch, and with all that power...you can probably start from second to make it more streetable...
You can use 1st gear when you want to go ballistic...

One man's "perfectly streetable" is another man's "on-off switch".
We'll figure out a clutch that meets our power holding needs, while meeting Mike's streetability needs.
LOL, ask me again in a week and I'll probably tell you, "It's perfect!".
i dunnno about that putting clutches jsut for dyno numbers... you use what ever clutch you will use IMO....
the trade off is for streatability... not much way around that...so thats teh choice.. the number of the most streatability...
i dunno lots of supra guys use heavy clutches... i didnt see it as a big deal on my choice.. but perception changes from person to persona as somoene said
