Default Looking to go single turbo next summer.....

as far as I'm concerned FI is the only way go,it's just the initial cost
that is a killer.
Pretty much dead set on the Turbonetics

My 04 GTO was super charged, (Magnuson) and
made the car a blast to drive. That put me at 400ish.
Other than injectors, clutch and tune the car was stock.

My 03 Z is stock right now.
I'm looking to do some mods now that will be turbo friendly for the future,
and could give me a little more,"get up and go" till then.

I don't want to buy performance parts that can't be used or
will not give the the correct performance match for the turbo.

Absolutely don't know crap about what the VQ motor likes and dislikes
coming from LS1's and Volvo's
Any recommendations?

Thanks

I am feeling generous today and advise you to grab your flame suit and take cover before the barrage commences.

1. The TN Single kit has been discontinued

2. There are other used single kits available that are better options (APS. Powerlab)

3. Unless money is your primary concern when going F/I, the TN kit should be your last option, not the first - Powerlab is widely considered the best (only?) single kit on the market right now

4. Starting a thread in F/I with a post count of 2 is a definate recipe for FAIL .

5. Read this twice before asking other redundant questions please (see, I even said please): https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...for-noobs.html

Best of luck and if you have more specific questions about going F/I after reading the NooBs thread please feel free to ask.

thank you for the warm welcome
gotta have thick skin to be on any forum my friend.

I thought Turbonetics was going through an reevaluation stage for their single turbos."Going green",I'll say.
Keep what does work and get rid of what doesn't.
Could be wrong though.

Did not find to much on exhaust for turbos in the Noob FI threads.

Thanks again,I'll keep searching.

never had any real problems with my GTO other than
needing to put in an LS7 clutch and a slipping belt.

The car never saw the track, that probably explains it.

If you really want to do a single turbo, I would say Powerlab hands down. I would even go with STS before turbonetics.

This isnt a GTO

You made around 400hp with a car that came with 350 from the factory

Now you may be near 400 with a car with less than 300 from the factory (03' Z)

Does your thinking make sense?

^^ tuned and dyno'd?

also the SFR and SP single kits are very nice as well. but as the replies have so uncharacteristically kindly spelled out, perusing the FI forum will negate 99.9% of any question you might have.

I would see your build regardless because you would have posted 500 times to meet the requirement!!

No, but that is do to not being able to drive the car out of my garage. Still have a foot of snow here. A friend is tuning it on the street, and then dyno.

Nice BS detector Alberto. A supercharged GTO even with the 5.7L should put down at least 500.
