At first this response annoyed me...but then I realized that either one of us could be "the parents" in this statement.

there are times i can be a real ahole.. and there are times i can really be sincere to help someone out who doesn't have experience in a situation.. in this situation i was really trying to be sincere to you and try to offer you some advice from someone who has been down the road you are trying to travel.. but if there was ever a time someone has told me to literally STFU when i was trying to help.. this would be that rare occasion.. however i am going to take the advice i offered myself 2 posts back.. You have a good day sir

Guys I appreciate the advice on if it is ill advised to purchase a bike due to financial reasons. I wasn't asking about that aspect though. I was leaning more towards fun factor. Like I said I'll keep my car the way it is and if I decide to sell it, it will be the whole car as it sits.

i used to have one, im tellin u doesnt compare to the torque of a new 4-stroke 450...ive ridden alot of wheelers and had my share of 2 strokes, including 250 r's, banschees', a tecati , even a quadzilla that ended up putting the 500 motor in a 250 frame, but still the 450 is such a better wheeler, i also trail rode my 450 along with raced it

I always get a giggle from people who equate riding a dirt bike or 4 wheeler to anything like a street bike. The 2 have absolutely nothing to do with one another other than they both have 2 wheels (4 wheeler im not sure how to connect the 2).

Well I guess clutch control on a streetbike and dirtbike are different? Upshifting and downshifting? These things are relevant in my opinion. It sounds like something simple but don't you think that its important to shift smoothly in turns? Downshift with speed to slow down faster if neccessary?

i didnt see where anyone said they were alike....
if someone has knowledge on how to ride a dirtbike though and can ride a dirtbike well imo they can absolutely ride a streetbike, i understand they are completely different but that persone should be able to pick up very quickly
