I always seen catch can's connected from PCV to catch can and from catch can to Plenum.

That is how I connected my catch can.

I would connect it to the passenger side vent and then to the plenum.

I wish there was a way to disable the post function until you searched first.

Just better flow. You will need to install a check valve if you do that though inline with the catch can otherwise you will pressurize the PCV system.

If I use a catch can that has an air filter to the atm will I still need a check valve?

why don't you connect everything back up and find out? there are plenty of diagrams and methods shown already how to properly do this so why woud you not look at those pics?

what you just did was vent your passenger side straight to the driver side. that "T" intersection is not going to do nothing at all. plus your return line needs to go into the plenum.

in reality you only need one for the passenger side anyway since that is the one that produces the most oil blow by. i have just a small filter on my driver side and it is still dry as the day i put it on (4 years ago).

there are multiple ways to run the catch can.. everybody has their own idea of what works.. this thread is the most popular route of running it

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...catch-can.html

Passenger Side: PCV -> Catch Can -> Manifold
Driver Side: Breather Filter

if you're still having excessive blow by.. then you can try the other methods

P.S. read that thread from end to end till you understand that method
