The customer specifically wanted to see what the stock block would max out at with the turbo and fuel system he had on the car. Records were made to be broken. The owner does not DD on Q16 at 14.5psi and plenty of stock block Z's have lasted for many miles.

Moe tried to blow the motor on his previous Greddy TT Z with over 100k miles. He has spare motors on hand and does all the work himself, so why not test the limits of the stock block?

Do you consider SP's 1XXXwhp dyno pulls "little man syndrome" too? I can think of at least 4 FI Z's he's tuned on here in Colorado that see track time regularly and none of them have blown (knock on wood).

Ahhhh.....so this is a way of advertising then....advertising what you can do with one. BUT.........You are NOT a sponsor here? Why do you choose to be so mysterious or support a place that could bring you business?

Good for the customer wanting to do it...it just seems like a waste of a block but if it's his choice then who can say otherwise.

No it's "little man syndrome" because...how many others have done what SP has or is doing? They want to better their knowledge and power hence R&D on a race car. Now.... whats the point of testing the limits of something that has been shown over and over? See the difference?

Just b/c a motor breaks on a lower power level doesn't necessarily mean its the tuner's fault. It can be but so many other things could have happened including a driver error that some wouldn't necessarily admit to.

I do not work for Moe's shop (and no, its not called "Moe's shop") and nobody here is trying to sell you anything via the internet. Forum rules state you cannot advertise here unless you pay to do so thus the omission of a shop name or contact info.

I support Moe because I've had my Z had his "mystery shop" for work numerous times and I've been very satisfied with the work. I've seen the cars he's tuned and I've watched them run at the track. His shop is smaller than most of the big-name vendors here and his customer base is mostly limited to Denver/CO Springs. There's no real reason for him to become a sponsor here when most of us locals already know him.

Show me another stock block RevUP VQ with 600+ uncorrected hp at 5300ft elevation. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess this hasn't been done before and is something the VQ community would be interested in seeing.

Now wait for the video/dyno before having yourself a sh!tfit, this thread isn't even 24 hours old yet.

That was more directed at the OP than you.

FYI he uses "One of my Customers cars" in his post....

Function Tuned still has him beat....he still needs to go bigger without blowing up the car. Lets save the bashing until he has beaten the record, shall we?

Good luck

Make sure that when you post, you post proof along with it or else no one will beleive you and given the amount of scammers being exposed around here, the bar is set pretty high. If you are not on the level, they send people out to confirm and deny ****....like the RA thread!

Sparknotes: don't just say OJ did it...SHOW US THE GLOVE

edit: I forgot the glove was not enough, we need pictures, videos and DNA evidence

It would be fair if he was a vendor on this forum......

I could care less if he beats any number...to be quite honest.

the fact of the matter that everyone keeps forgetting is he hasn't beat anyone yet.. the day he comes on here and says he is running over 560 whp uncorrected .. i will be the first one to tell him congratulations.. further more i would appreciate when he does post numbers indicate wether they are corrected or uncorrected and also post the uncorrected numbers if they are corrected.. its only fair to the community if you're going to throw out big numbers like that you tell the full story behind it.

I think he posted above that he was using an 18% correction Doug. I couldn't agree with you more. He pm'd me a link to some vids (cool links), but there is no way to know that it was him.
