I could care less if he beats any number...to be quite honest. The point of my post is to say he hasn't done anything of record. You can beat a number then cover up the explosion...everyone knows this. You can also back down the boost to 6 psi and say it is a 'DD car without problems' and is 'pretty safe'.
There is so much BS on this site, you have to take everything with a grain of salt and decide for yourself. The same guy who is a 'great tuner' to some is worthless to others. Same with shops, turbo kits, tires (Generals anyone?) you name it. I would have been an idiot to take my car to Dave and say 'hey hit 600 on your dyno with my stock motor because you did it with Nowell's car'...unfortunately some people are that dumb and consider their outlier tests to be the norm. I told him to make the most power on what he felt was 'stable', and I feel he met my needs.

If he is comfortable with a 600 whpr Z on a stock motor and can prove it, good for him, the risk is too great. It is like putting $10,000 on a Roulette square. The payout is extremely high but the risk is great as well. Go ahead and buck the trend. Very few shops post about their failures.

Man I did this over 2 years ago, talk about old news.

Ran 14 PSI stock block, 100 octane. Lasted about a month or so, then I took it to Willow Springs (big track) where she finally blew at the end of the day.

No detonation, high octane fuel, perfect tune - a stock block DE motor can not be reliable at that power level and to suggest anything remotely close to that is ludicrous.

When did I once say I suggested that? I was asked to do so and I did. This thread just turned into B.S like my old one did. Oh man you guys are p r e t t y funny. I did not once say I am doing this for advertisement or anything. Plus the PM I got was people asking questions about what they need to complete their setup. ALL of them were pretty much answered with decent managment system, good fuel system and a good tuner. Maybe if you guys actually spend your time advising people with your knowledge vs attacking every single person and their mom for asking a question. I am sure each one of you started some where.

George good for you, very impressed you did it 2years, what else did you do?

IIRC, George beat the snot out of his stock block setup at the track, and pretty much blew it on purpose.. By pushing the limits of a FI'd stock block, I believe he helped the z community in general.

What are you doing? asking ppl to guess whp from your setup?...
The only reason I can see for posting up such a question would be so that you could boost up your own super ego and thump on your chest in front of a large audience.

Also, from someone on the outside looking in.. It seems like you are trying to garner interest in your abilities as an installer and tuner.. Not cool considering many vendors have been here for years, paying dues in order to display there abilities on a large stage.
