Default 03 and 04.5 ecu.

Even though they are both the first gen 350z, i was wondering if the ECU's can be swapped.

Simple question, dont flame me. lol

Believe the o2 sensors on 4.5 are wideband. 03's are not..

I would say the only difference would be. The 04.5 has the factory widebands and below that year narrowbands. But I'm no pro with the factory ecu by far.

Hmm. Would wide/narrow bands have any difference in readings. I mean, they still provide the same voltage, correct?

The widebands provide greater O2 sensor data detail than the narrowbands..The older ECU's would be seeing more data than they are programmed to see.

it would have to get reprogrammed by the dealer regardless. so the real question is, are the electrical circuits inside different.

If they could be re-programmed , which I doubt, a dealer would not likely have the ability to do it..A simple call to one would answer the question.
