The point being though that some seem to have spark blowout or lack of spark issues at 18psi, when there are those running much more that don't have that issue. If it were a common coil pack issue (i.e. the coil packs just don't have enough juice), then at some point everyone would have this problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

just my $0.02

Don't let all of the work and time spent go to waste (i.e., going through the calculations, realizing something is wrong with the "A/R" value provided, taking actual measurements, and finally pinning Garrett down on what they mean by "A/R") . The T25 flanges will be fine up until the point the inlet area starts to be larger than 1735 sq. mm. Such turbos will be capable of well beyond 30 psi with our engines.

EDIT: Summary: The T25 flanges will in no way be the limiting factor as far as maximum boost goes. The limiting factor will be the capabilities of the turbos themselves. If someone has HUGE turbos with inlets greater than 1735 sq. mm., only then can they blame the inlet size on holding them back.

UPDATE:

Checked the endcap bolts after 3 heat cycles, and all of them were loose. A couple I could turn with my finger. Good thing I didn't get into boost at all the last time I drove the car. Time for some blue loctite.

Let us know how the spring works with the internal wastegate.

I have heard the internal wastegates don't work so well. Hopefully the spring will solve the issue.

I will def. let you guys know what happens...I'll prob. start my own thread so I'm not hijacking Brians.

I got an update yesterday from the guy doing all the installation/fab-work. He put an extra spring in and got the boost to spike to 14lbs and leveled out around 9 where-as before when just running off spring pressure it would not boost past 8lbs.

Originally I was going to have him fab up an EW but after he looked at the internal design he really liked it. I showed him APS' design and he what he didn't like about it was the ability to flow air through the turbo and EW and the piping was smaller. He thinks we should be good to go on building boost.
