Finally finished the install of my Cosworth IM and my alkycontrol meth kit today.
Went out and did some street "tuning" with the UTEC. My AFRs stayed nice and fat. 11.0-11.3 so I didn't have to add any fuel (AFRs before the manifold were mid 10s).
Boost dropped from 14psi on spring pressure to 12.5psi on spring pressure. I'm assuming this is because of the dramatic increase in flow.
Car now feels nice and strong above 5500rpm whereas it fell on it's face BAD after 5500 before. I'll be putting it on the dyno and turn on the meth sometime in the next couple weeks so I will hopefully confirm what my butt is telling me.
So far I'm very happy with the Cosworth. It REALLY cleans up the engine bay and looks dead sexy. Now I can actually see my coil packs so plug changes will be a piece of cake.

Not really sure how long it took. I really took my time with it and carefully RTV'd the endcaps to make sure they don't leak with the boost I'll be throwing at it. I was doing the meth kit at the same time, but if I had to guess, I probably could have done the Cosworth alone in well under 2 hours.

Ive been contemplating doing this, but havent seen enough results IMO. I look forward to your results Brian. Did you get the same Alky kit that was already pieced together that a few of us have?
Looks great - nice install. I see you've got the manifold sucking through your catch can to your PCV. I had the same but with a check valve in there to back up the PCV, which supposedly can leak under boost. I was sucking up too much oil though. I followed others (Jetpilot, Alberto, Joe Kenefic) and just routed both valve covers to the turbo inlet via the catch can. Did you notice your old plenum was oily?

Joe Kenefic sold me his kit. (he's running E85 now). Based on my near 2psi boost drop with the Cosworth, I'd say it's flowing MUCH better. We'll see what it does on the dyno.

keep an eye on the caps leaking once you start spraying meth. Doesnt seem like Cosworth has that fixed yet as people are still having problems with that. Pretty sure Sylvan lake is currently.
I've been trying to figure out the best routing for my catch can for a while now. I hardly had any oil in the plenum, but my driver's side valve cover that was vented straight to the turbo inlet (and drilled larger) was pushing a good amount of oil into my turbo and subsequently the intercooler. I think I will try and route it like you guys have it. My only issue is locating a fitting to replace the PCV that has a larger barb fitting on it for bigger hoses to match the catch can and driver's side vent. Any ideas?
I drilled out the PCV, use a short section of 3/8" fuel injection hose (SAE30R9 quality), and then have a 3/8 to 5/8" adapter I bought online somewhere (high temp plastic). I use 5/8" heater hose for most of the plumbing.
