For example, the TN kit runs its IC piping right behind the radiator before it enters the IM. It is constantly being exposed to very hot air, so one can only assume that the IAT's would be a bit higher.

IMO the less IC piping you have in the engine bay (especially high up in the engine bay) the better.
mhm.. my buddies TN kit gets so HOT.. you cant even touch the hood! when you open it up.. u get the same hot air as you would when you open the oven lol

I made the mistake of touching the IC piping on a TN kit as well. Never again.

All I can say is after 9 consecutive pulls on the dyno my IC pipe was cool to the touch. Same thing after a couple of highway pulls.

unfortunately i spent this 2 week break fixing my car. I'm going to have hal tune it then i'll just enjoy the supercharger for the summer since it's been over 9 months since i drove my car.

next winter i have a 3 week break so i can pull the s/c off and install this turbo kit IF i don't have any financial setbacks at school. Med school makes one broke.

So far i finished this semester with a 4.0. Maybe if i keep a 4.0 my parents will be happy enough to loan me the cash to get this done next winter.

Here are a couple of pictures of the down pipe. IMO the flex pipe is a must here, this eliminates
the chance of cracking during heat cycles.






There is a bung for a wideband on the down pipe:





All the piping is back purged when welded so it is very smooth on the inside:

simply amazing that a guy in a garage somewhere can do this kind of quality work and a multi million dollar company with expensive machines can not.... I will keep bugging you about the HR as I dont really want to use any of the SC setups that are on the way and the STS kit I was going to purchase and adapt will cost me alot more than its worth after I have the hot side Jet Hot coated. I really like this... Please have an HR solution in about 3 months

I know that at some point in this build there were questions/concerns about the weight of the turbo and stress on the headers. I think I mentioned an additional hanger, but I don't think I showed you guys what I mean. Here are a few pictures to explain;





As you can see here, the entire turbo and up pipe are being held up by the entire exhaust. It is not connected to anything else. The extra hanger works great and bolts on to the chassy. The best thing is that it is adjustable, and once the entire kit is on you can put all the weight on it. I am looking at getting some urithan hangers (instead of rubber) so that there is no stretch over time.





The turbo inlet flange is made so that you can bolt up any T3 or T4 turbo. This really adds versatility to the entire set up. As long as the exhaust side is 3" V-band.

I dont have an ETA gentleman, but I should have the car running by summer sometime and tuned for low boost. Like BP said, my car has been one problem after another. I hope to finally get things right. Thanks go out to Injected for dealing with me so graciously.

Yes, that is your pile.

Those go under the car, and the really shiny/polished stuff (not in the picture) goes under the hood, where it will be visible.

I finally got around to polishing my own cold pipe, and some engine clean up:











Also did a bit more work on one of the jigs. Trying to make one big one maybe..
