As you all know the stock ecu runs off voltage from the maf. the way the hpx works it is has 2.5x the cap of stock to measure air using the same voltage.. What happened was that the dyno held the motor alive with the centrifugal force of the dyno behind it. Car was decreased in timing to source problem and tuner was demanding a 90% load in fuel to make it idle at 14.7 A/F. It only peaked 31.6 psi with an air fuel of 22.3 ( i know i know. a car wouldnt even run with this.. and it didn't) before the alarms went off on dyno, accessport and all was shut down. I did however get a free compression/ leak down test which showed the engine to be fine. the only thing that blew was the breather tube that connects the valve covers. . The only reason an accessport was to be used was that being a street/track car it needs to pass emission, in which the "guaranteed to pass" doesn't work, and it needs the stock computer to pass. a utec which keeps the obd2 compliancy still trips the code and car fails instantly, piggyback biased system receive the same treatment. Osiris is the only other option as of this time. Most probable cause for high boost under such conditions was fuel burning outside of cylinders reason for this assumptions was the fire it was shooting out. It looked like someone with one of those flame thrower kits for cars with distributor caps.

whoever told you running a UTEC or any other EMS will fail inspection is as dumb as running 31psi (which i still think there is no way you did)

yeah I ran utec with no codes (most of the time anyway). Inspection was a little bit of a fickle process but in the end it wasn't a big deal considering the amount of money i put into actually FI'ing the car...

ya, ss box used on vortech systems and stillen systems still complies with CARB I didn't/don't have check engine lights with my car. I got a code when i went to test pipes but the non-fouler fixed that then i had a loose wire which gave me a misfire. Both had nothing to do with the engine management.

+1 on the EMS... You can go UTEC, Haltech, ProEFI (All are more suited for your application) and not have any problems!! If your going to Injected.... Get a Haltech!!
