Default Another Powerlab Build on stage 2 motor

Another powerlab thread i know.... but when doing the kit I noticed that besides Jeffie and Idanielson doing the build on a relatively stock block there has been little to no publication or threads on a build block one other than Intensepower's

This is a dairy of the build, not only to help those DIYers but to start that which their is none of.

Before the build started it dyno with kinetix V+ full exhaust with test pipes at a whopping 214RWHP

When they say long block they mean just the block a little shocking when looking at it all together

Default Starting the pull

Pulling the engine is rather straight forward drop tranny, crane engine out

the engine bay looks really big when there isn't one in there no wonder people choose to put a small block chevy motor into here... but thats no way to be respected in the Z category

Taking a break from getting complacent on the motor we mock up the intercooler and big koyo radiator
I had to put up the cut for the crash bar for all of those who read the directions referring to a template( non existent)

engine back in we start the putting the turbo in... tried to do it outside the car and drop it in but that was hopeless... unless you pull the entire front of car off and slide engine with tranny attached in.

If you want more information on the install of the pipes see jeffie's or idanielson's as it has been beaten to death.

Default To the exhaust

Having invested money into getting exhaust geared to a twin system a single down pipe put us at odds with ourselves, they talk of a reverse y pipe, but pictures are sparse at best.

Started the car for the first time today and to say that the single downpipe into a dual sounds anything but interesting would be a travesty. It does seem to have the best of both worlds of the nissian and the sti.. it has an z tone at idle but with a little more of a lobe to it thanks to the c2 cams, but at speed it sounds like a sti on roids.

More pictures of the completed project to come once it stops raining
Numbers to come Dyno appointment on 30nov should have 1k miles on it by then ..
