Just wanted to give an update:

-All piping is installed
-Fuel Rails Installed
-Injectors Installed
-Fuel Pump installed
-Spark Plugs installed

-Currently installing 60mm DEFI gauges

Up next is the haltech bits, oil cooler, oil catch can, and then they begin tuning. =)

Nice!

No matter how much planning you do there always going to be little pieces you have to order.

I ordered my turbo kit without the TiAL BOV so I can save a few bucks (I already had the synapse) and the piping came with the 50mm flange that works with the TiAL but not the synapse. Vibrant makes an adapter to fit the Synapse which I ordered for overnight delivery just to find out I failed to realize I was also going to need the TiAL V-Band Clamp and O-Ring for their 50mm bov. Had to just order those parts for next day delivery. There goes my savings :P

I hear you. It can be an endless money pit as things add up or something new comes out. I had a pretty good build the first time, now I want more boost and some stronger parts for tracking.

Car is alive as of today. Shop says they will need a day to tune and a day to double check everything so most likely to picking up Thursday. Shop is having trouble finding a t-adapter locally to mount the DEFI water sensor in the upper radiator tube. Hopefully pepboys has something.

Crom is telling me to install the DEFI water temp sensor at the stock location.

Anyone have any info on doing it this way instead of doing it to the upper radiator pipe?

22630 is where the stock coolant sensor is installed

i've seen some setups that place a pipe with a threaded opening in the middle of the upper radiator hose coming from the radiator that you can screw a sensor into. Or perhaps you could tap into the factory wiring, if you could calibrate the gauge to read the stock signals.

I'd rather not tap into the factory wiring, I don't see the point of having the gauge unless its using its own independent sensor.

i gotcha, just throwing it out there. could you have a bung welded on the front brass portion of the upper radiator pipe? right after the front hose?
