If leak down is fine then shouldn't be piston rings. Is it just on first fire up or all the time? Would think it sounds like valve seals.

All the time. GearHeinz replaced the valve seals while the engine was still in the car few weeks ago. Still smokes. Maybe the valve guides?

Potentially, caddy northstars have this issue too much slop letting oil seep in, gona be a pain though to determine.

How does it manifest its oil consumption? Just lower oil levels? Excessive smoke out of tailpipe during startup?

When you said oil was coming out of piston 2 and 4, what did you mean? And what did Howard recommend?

Turbo seals maybe?? You didn't say how the oil was 'leaking' from the cylinders, maybe it was just the valve cover seals letting oil in around the plugs and not the actual issue. I find it hard to believe compression and leakdown is fine if there's a serious oil leak into the combustion chamber.

It is definitely coming from the motor and not the turbo.

I'm not sure on the specifics of where he found the oil but he is removing piston #2 and #4 this week to check the piston rings. If they look ok we are probably going to take apart the heads.

Shortblock was torn down and the issue is being resolved by Technosquare. I don't want to say anything further for the time being.

Can't find a Cosworth 96mm headgasket anywhere, lead time from cosworth is 4 weeks. Any suggestions what I do instead? I am thinking just OEM HR headgasket since my engine has the mod already.

How about other brands like HKS or Cometic? Also out of stock?

BTW, if you're interested I do have 1 passenger side Cosworth 96mm HR Headgasket, but only for the passenger side...

i dont think HKS makes a HR headgasket, I'd rather use the oem then the cometic. Tomei makes a 96.7mm but thats too big.
