200mph in 1 mile
I am going to the mile mark-1 event on January 3 to TRY and be the first G35 with a 3.5 liter engine to do 200 mph in the US. Everyone is invited to come and hang out in the pits and watched the madness.
Last time it October the car ran a nonofficial speed of 191 this time they will have a TAG HEUER system to record speed/times and give out time slips just like the Texas mile. Last time it was very unorganized and many people were upset. The event holders realize how serious sponsors and shops take this event and promise to make this event more organized and official then the event held in October.
So what does it take to go 200 mph in 5,280 ft 1 mile?

It was 102° on the runway it should be 20 to 30° cooler this time.
Had to pull timing because of intake temps was too high.
Will be running 4 to 5psi more boost.
Raised the rev limiter.
Dialed in the boost controller to work by gear/mile-per-hour to control tire spin in first and second gear.
Experience running my car at that speed.
I'm TRYING to run 200, I hope these changes will get me there.

I wish you the best of luck. I'm a big fan of your car and I posted it up on our blog awhile ago.

Read your story last night I have had two oil failures myself your story is pretty crazy. I'm not really sure what's going on with the c16 tune I thought the car would make crazy power on c16 I guess I need more boost + bigger turbos and I just went through 2 engines not ready to take the car apart again. 18G modified by Mike Turbo are the turbos but everything has been modified I mean everything.
