For well over a decade we at GTM have prided ourselves on offering our customers and clients with access to superior performance tuning and aftermarket performance product manufacturing. We hold ourselves to the highest of standards and prove this daily through hard work, dedication, and exceptional customer service. We also hold all resellers of our product to the same level of standard that we hold ourselves.

Over the past few months there have been issues brought to our attention regarding one of our resellers, Forged Performance. Without going into great detail, we at GTM have decided that it is in our best interest, as well as our customers and clients, to discontinue supplying this organization with our products.

This does not mean that your options are limited in where to purchase your GTM products or have them installed. There are many reputable resellers of GTM items and our website is a great outlet, as well. For those who have had - or are in the process of having - GTM parts installed at Forged Performance, all warranties pertaining to these GTM items are still applicable. Rest assured this change will not impact those who have patronized us in the past or those who will do so in the future.

Thread will not get locked unless it turns into a shop vs shop or an "I know something you don't know" thread like the last one. Its also better GTM be the OP and not quoted third party.

 

If the mods wont allow people to discuss the situation (as was happening in the other thread) then why not take Sams/GTM's statement, close and sticky the thread?

Shops complaining to mods to have things closed because its bad for business is BS, wont be the first time, wont be the last.

If people in this community wanted to post NEGATIVE experiences and have discussion it couldnt happen, closest thing we have is the shop ratings thread but with no discussion its useless.

I applaud GTM for taking the steps to protect their products and their name.

Shop discussion thread will not last, because some will get there ***** crushed in a vise then cry to Dad and it will get cleaned up.

 

That other thread wasnt even hostile. For this site it was more then a tame discussion. The worst word used was nuthugger. Just obvious keeping the vendor spending money happy is why the thread was closed.

 

No vendor asked me or anyone else to close the thread. You want a shop discussion thread have at it.

I didnt like the way the OP quoted Sam 3rd party and until the thread was closed had not heard anything from GTM or Sam in the thread.

Sam asked me if I would unlock the thread, I said it would be better if you started your own.

Alberto.... You have to remember why the shop rating thread was started..... People with bad outcomes were afraid to post them because of "Nuthuggers" like me and others on here. Look at the first time Juan posted.... He was bashed and made fun of.... I was guilty of being involved in that.

Someone made a comment that they wish there was a thread where members could post their experiences without being beaten to death. Romey asked me to start it so I did... Because I too thought it would be a good idea.

The idea was.... If you or anyone wanted to make a comment about a post in that thread.... They can feel free to start a thread and do so... You can always direct traffic to read it from your thread.... My understanding was that he would not have posted it if it were not for that thread.... I was even asked to make sure that the rules were followed in advance of the post.... Romey and Dave have been making sure of that.

Now my understandind is.... There are others that will be posting there soon.... Not sure if all is about FP... But I am told they will be posting soon. Be my guest....

As much as I hate the double standards... it was a repost straight from the source rather than "third" party. In a sense I can kind of understand.

Unfortunately if a member posts this statement, it turns into a pissing match. If a vendor post it, it'll probably start more civilized.
