Default Powerlab?

I have a bone stock 2005 350z. ive finally decided to pull the trigger on a single turbo. The question is is a 2005 z with 85k miles going to hold up with a turbo? im getting a new flywheel and clutch and its all going to be done right no short cuts. will it hold up? or should i just drop or build a new motor

no can predict if it will hold up. all cars a different. a brand new motor could pop on the dyno, a 100k car might go another 100k boosted or vice versa. you just never know. if you do it, do it right. spend 10 to 15k for the proper install, tune and supporting parts ie. gauges, clutch, cooling. all the little things will help maintain a reliable car. just make sure you are prepared to shell out close to another 10k if you motor does blow.

Nex i live in okc. there really arent any tuning shops here that will even touch my z. there is one in tulsa. full install with everything. cooler, clutch, gauges, tuned for $8,800. are there any good dfw shops thats worth my time to go down there and talk to them. i dont want crazy hp just enough to have alot of fun with but be reliable

i wouldnt let anyone F/I my car in the DFW honestly. not on a VQ platform at least. FSP is your best bet in the Oklahoma. $8800 + the powerlab kit or is that $8800 for everything? that seems very low if its $8800 for everything. also keep in mind, the drivers driving habit has a lot to do with the longevity of the motor. if you beat on your car constantly like i do then i would go very conservative on the about of boost you run. 6psi to 8psi at the most.

intake? thats comes with the turbo kit.

exhaust, you can only run a single exhaust with a single turbo. that single can go into a muffler and have two tips like your stock exhaust currently is setup. personally with a single turbo i'd go with a single cannister 3" exhaust. greddy TIC single canister might be a good fit.

The PowerLab GT35R Single Turbo is an awesome kit! Mine’s at Jet Hot right now getting coated…I should have it on by the end of the month or so…

My brother’s had a PowerLab GT35R on his Z for 2 years now, it’s tuned with ProEFI 48 pin ecu.

Wait so you cannot use a system like an Invidia N1 with a ST, Nexx? Can't you have a crossover pipe that runs to the midpipe or something?

phreak, is the N1 would work fine. just cant use a true dual exhaust with a single turbo. some people with true duals have removed the mid pipe and used a reverse y pipe with a true dual which isnt true dual anymore after you do that lol.

Build the motor, new brakes, all new fluids, clutch, flywheel, radiator, oil cooler, EBC...you NEED wheels and tires as well, suspension is going to matter also.

You got some buying to do, son...hope you got tons of cash or a low interest credit card.

I have a 3" JIC single exit exhaust that i had one my powerlab Z...just replaced with the Greddy Ti-C (but it had to be chopped up to work). The sound is about the same from inside, the single is a little louder...they both put out the same power.

Let me know if you want it...about 500 plus shipping
