So I went up to the Stillen headquarters this week and took a cruise in their S/C g35.....not impressed at all. That knocks that one off. I'm still up in the air about the vortech, but I think it's looking like the HKS twin turbo so far. Any recommendations on which kit? I can get the power I want out of the gt-ss for less money, but in case I do decide to upgrade later, I'd need to replace the turbos. Any suggestions on which one would be better?

I'm planning on getting rods, pistons, and head gaskets so I can push 400 a little more reliably. From what I've gathered, the rods are the weak point of the vq35, and if I'm getting rods, I might as well get pistons. Does this sound like all I'd need without doing a full build? (along with a clutch, exhaust, susp, wheels, tires, and everything the turbo kit doesnt include)

aside from the fact that the BP kit is more of a mid-mount system, whatis the difference in the single turbo kits? is one setup more "reliable" than the other? And another question i wonder is with the turbo kit so low (in mid-mount and remote-mount kits), is there a risk of damage from road debris, or scraping it on a speed bump or whatever?

sorry, i searched, but couldn't find my answer

Once you open your stock engine up reliability is a crap shoot. With a built engine there is always a chance "issues" can arise, for 400whp leave it stock unless it blows up. I ran my stock engine with 420whp and a stock block with no issues ever. Find a good ECU and tuner and your reliability goes up considerably. For the 400whp mark the Jim Wolf 530bb was everything I could ask for.
