Im sorry if i missed something (not reading the whole thread lol).

I recently just had a VERY similar problem on my 510 (KA swapped). Thought it was my Tstat or radiator, even contemplated my the water pump.

Push come to shove it ended up being a faulty radiator cap that was brand new. I put my old L-series cap on and it eliminated all the problems.

My water temp guage sending unit i wired up to the lower rad hose and it was reading cold around 60 f even though the top rad was scortching and cap was puking its guts out.

Thats just my .02 hopefully it helps cause it was kind of a PITA for me haha...specially for something so stupid

Yea it's weird! When this happens my car starts to overheat but after it stopped spilling and began sucking in coolant the temp would go back to normal. I have no clue what could be causing this. It spills out about a gallon of coolant each time it does this.

Its cool, I dont think it was the rad cap because with the funnel your not using the cap at all and i haven't seen any when burping the system. i have some in my old reservoir. i'll try to post a pick of it. i know i saw some in the hoses in when refilling the radiator.

i noticed that funnel looks nearly full. did you pour that much coolant into it? if you did, don't put that much in...just put in enough to fill up the neck of the funnel and add a little bit as the air pockets bleed out.

side question, does anybody know how much coolant the reservoir from the APS TT kits holds? i'm researching overflow containers that may fit in that spot but obviously i want more capcity, and my car is not around so i can't measure it.

damn that sludge looks like crap i took outta a donor motor for my beater that had been sitting for 6 years. essentially the coolant evaporates leaving behind that exact mess.

If I was you i would flush you block. pull your thermostat, put a hose in the radiator and run that til everything comes out clear.

It's not much I'd say around a quart if that

Krivera that is violent and that sludge is not healthy looking at all
I would try to do a flush and take out T-stat and check in boiling water and see at what temp it opens up if at all.

Worst case scenario I'm leaning towards headgasket even though I know that is not what most around here want to here

did you do the install on this?

smell the coolant as its bubling, you smell exhaust???

this **** is strange like the girl i had over last night lol...

If worse comes to worse i would pull your heads and check things out, possibly do a re-install cause this is definitely not right....im still willing to bet this is some HG issues....i hope im wrong though...

My mechanic did the install, I can't Smell exhaust fumes but it does seem like hot air getting into the system and causing it to spill out like that, or my other guess is a clog somewhere not letting the coolant pass by, car has new thermostat in and I also poured water threw the radiator but nothing came out
