Yea as long as you keep to a max of 650rwhp you should be good.

I remember the Red Z in Bahrain (https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ace-motor.html) used the HR OEM Head Gaskets and did 9.23@154mph and I think he Got in the 8's with his last tune.

Cool, hope that works....would be a cheaper alternative for sure. I think most others that went with HR gaskets, also used HR headstuds which gave up at 650rwhp. So maybe thats what I was thinking.

What timeframe you shooting for?

Well then you must have paid for STG 1 and got STG 2 becuase if it's .86 stamped on the housing...that is def STG 2. You saved $500 bucks. Cool deal.

For a built block, I'd definitely go with the Stage 2 turbos. Although the Stage 1's are pretty fun on a stock block

I'm doing stock block with STG 2. I heard STG 1 spools up too fast and doesn't last like STG 2. So I am doing STG 2. I hope it's good.

The long waits kill me. I work in the aerospace field and they do not tolerate a day late for s**t. I tip my hat to you sir, i would have lost it at 6 months, forget a year. lol.

Good luck with the build, hope it all works out for you. Im in the process of taking care of all my cooling mods and soon the engine build. I forgot about upgrading the turbos, dang! Hope the price difference is not too bad.

I will try to go to the shop this week and check them.

I'm thinking about doing some silly stuff like moving the ugly over flow tank and painting the valve covers..

In the euro spec 350Z's there are two headlamp sprayer nozzles that I think about to move them to the front of the IC to cool it down.

UPDATE:

I just just got off the phone with the shipping company and they said the engine should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday.

So the car should be finished sometime next week (in here the workweek runs from Saturday to Wednesday)

Will update then.

Update:

Finlay I had the time to check the turbos yesterday and guess what?

They are STG 2 .86

Oh.. and I already painted the valve covers red

I will go to the shipping company first thing tomorrow to file a complaint about there f***ing services.

Also I'm afraid that may be some problems with customs and their stupid conditions. I just f***ing hate this country.

ahh nice

May I ask what caused your previous engine to fail? I have a G35 HR with plans for a GTM SC kit. Don't really want it to die just yet lol
