Default FINALLY ran a 10 second pass. 10.96@127mph

Been a long time coming. My car has just had minor changes over the past couple years trying to edge into the 10s on the stock heads/cams and basic APS twin kit. I finally reached my goal.

Track was not busy at all, so I was able to get plenty of practice launching the car, which is not easy with low 50 degree ambient air temps. The track is NOT downhill, the run-off is uphill, so don't even ask.

Here's the timeslip:

Ran a ZR1 on this pass, he stalled @ the line...lol Make sure to watch in 720p!

In-car video of pass. Also, make sure to watch in 720p!

My car setup for anyone who is not familiar:
Full weight 2003 Touring 6MT
APS ball-bearing Twin Turbo kit @ 14.5psi
built bottom end for reliability
Stock heads
Stock cams
Cosworth IM
Greddy Evo TT exhaust
UTEC
CJM fuel system
DeatschWerks 650cc injectors
AlkyControl Meth Injection
Carbonetics twin carbon clutch
DSS Pro axles
M/T 28in DRs
WOT box 2-step

Great driving and I'm also impressed with how quiet the run was from the inside of the car.

Nice! Just wish the ZR-1 didn't stall out so you could of smoked him! Well it may of been close but I bet you would of still won.

There were 2 ZR-1s there on street tires, the best I saw out of either was an 11.7@128mph. They had LOTS of traction problems.

I ran one of them on another run and he went 12.1@125mph. i think I went 11.1 on that run.

Very nice pass - congrats. Great launch - what rpm did you set the 2 step to? Do you remember how much boost you were making off the line?

6000, but it didn't even work most of the time...I have no idea what is going on with it. It just worked for a split second during that staging sequence on that pass. If I went to the pits and tried it, it would work perfectly every time, but after a burnout when I actually need it to work at the line, most of the time it would rev straight to the normal rev limiter.

I can make 3-4lbs of boost in less than 5 seconds on the two step when it's working.

Congrats! great run. You are one of the few that pushes yourself to keep practicing and tweaking and sees improvement without having to massively modify the car, in my opinion. Keep it up!

Thanks, my goal along with being fast is having a reliable car. I drove my car all season, HARD without a hiccup. Everything that breaks at these power levels, I've addressed and I try to keep as much of the car stock as possible.
