Theres no issue at all. Last year I ran 325/45/17s(which are the exact same size tire as a 325/40/18) with 0 issues. The rims/tires actually sat inside the fenders a little. I had my fenders lightly stretched and since im not running a coil over setup, ill have some room to spare. The only issue like mentioned above is the ride is a little "soft" with such a tall sidewall tire. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to run a tire that size or id be lucky to beat a stock honda from all the tire spin.

Awesome!

Actually, the 325/40/17 is about 1/4" taller than the 325/40/18! I run a Mickey Thompson ET Street, I know what you mean about the "soft" ride with the tall sidewall.

The engine is all together. Just need to torque down the rocker arms which ill do once the engine is in the car(to keep the valves closed and any **** out of the engine) Since everything in the engine bay is going to be black I figured id off set it a little with a wrinkle red compressor cover and valve covers.

No. I was going to get it but then I heard people had tuning issues with it. And for FI, I don't really think its needed. Maybe next year when I have nothing left to do to the car ill start adding things like that. But for this year the 90 will do just fine.

snyper, howd you go about getting the ecus to communicate? you did the CAN correct? also are you using both ecu's? or just the ls ecu. im doing throttle cable so im unsure if a can will work with a z ecu communicating to an e38 ecu

Both Ecus are standalone. The NISSAN ecu is in the car to control whatever its supposed to in the car and the E40 ECU controls the engine.

Got a lot of work done tonight. Welded little block off plates in the holes where the old harness and wires used to go through, sanded and painted the engine bay, bled the clutch, finished the wiring, mounted the engine in place, ect. Not much more to go as far as getting it running. I still have to finish the front end and mount the radiator and new lines. Ive decided to put an oil cooler on the car to help with temps. The cooler will be mounted in the driver side well in front of the tire.

and you synced them together with the CAN correct? would you happen to know if that would work with an e38 ecu by chance?

No. They are both standalone. They don't have to be linked to eachother. The only responsibility of the GMECU is to control the engine. It has nothing to do with the car itself. All the gauges work off the car itself minus the tach and water temp gauge.

ahh, so how did you get power to the ls motor? i would assume just connecting the starter to the battery?

did you leave the nissan engine harness plugged into the ecu? did you modify the nissan harness at all?

sorry for the questions, wirings not my thing, i hate it lol

Absolutely. And if you want to keep your front bumper in one piece and not have the wheels eat it, you should too haha. I have them off because of the wire tuck. I have the wires running on the inside of the fenders.
