Vortech V2 rebuild, diifficult?
So I have had my old vortech kit in my office for about 16 months now and I think it is about time I sell it. The blower works just fine, but I kinda like the idea of rebuilding the blower and it would be good for the buyers peace of mind.
I found the full rebuild kit on 928 Motorsports, and was wondering is it difficult to rebuild the unit, bearings and seals?
and if there would be any place I could be directed with torque specs for the bolts/nuts.
long story short looking for insight/advice/opinions.
Thanks in advance!

I would just send it out if you want to rebuild it. Have you called Vortech to see if they would inspect it. I really don't see a need for a rebuild unless you think there maybe a chance of having bad seals or bearings.

I made a DIY on how to replace the input shaft seal, the inner seal and bearings is much more involved though. https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...haft-seal.html

You didnt apply any specific ft/lbs to any bolts?
I have found a few write ups on mustang forums and those guys get the job done... crudely though.
It looks pretty straight foward in theory, now application is always a whole other story.
I dont know why but I was expecting some special procedure or precaution that must be taken. Something that had to be exact like shimming or a torque amount.
I guess not though.
just take it apart. Press them or it looks like i can freeze/heat bearings out/in
