Thumbs down

That was on the Z1 Dynojet at Z Nationals, i didn't realize that car was on your base tune. I guess that explains why it went o 14+AFR from 5k rpm up, the owner was even advised not to do the second pull but he said go ahead [/QUOTE]

The owner huh ? Did you get to talk to him ?

Hey everyone, So I bought the Momentum Single Turbo kit.
It is being installed over the past week.
Bought the FULL kit with Osiris (Upgraded to tuner)

Tomorrow after the clutch is installed, we will have our first start.

Is the base map for my car going to be safe enough to drive 500km (To the nearest Osiris tuner)
Is it safe enough to go WOT? (Keeping an eye on the AFR)
Because I dont think I can drive 500km without seeing what its got unless I hear from you guys that It isnt safe, in which case Ill just pick a lane and stick with it haha.

Now there has been some conflicting stories as to the power of a base map.

What would I expect.. The only mods I have are X02 (Custom made reverse Y) and plenem spacer.

It is probably safe if you don't go WOT. All bets are off at WOT. Why risk everything on the way to get tuned?

+1 on NOT going WOT.

Drive conservatively, get it tuned properly, then go from there.

Until then, baby it all the way.

yup no WOT. base maps are just that, while there was considerable work put into that base map, different things can affect it.

I am off to the Tuner.

Unfortunatly my tuner doesnt know Osiris... but he is a VERY good tuner with everything else.
So well take some time to Fumble around the software.

Any tips?

We ended up having National Speed Inc From NC help us out on the phone, Randy the Tuner from there, made small adjustments on the tune and sent us revisions.

Made 377hp/399tq.
Running 11.7-11.9AFR throughout WOT.

I dont know if this has to due with the tune, or a mechanical problem.

at 2500rpm my engine is hesitating when accelerating. Like a huge power loss, then suddently lunges forward. But only to 2600 then its fine. During this time the AFR's going all wonky.

Im throwing the codes
P0037
P0057

Multipule Cylinder Misfires.

A few times while under full boost, I had what felt like a HUGE loss in power, so I instantly let off the gas, returned home and got the other car lol.

Should I take it to a UpRev tuner a few hours away.
Or is thing something mechanical?

Those codes are for your rear O2 sensors being missing, your Tuner should have turned them off in the tune. I would definitely recommend taking it to someone that knows Uprev.

Where were you in Canada again?

+1 ship the car somewhere. Look at end price if it blows. cost double to fix your car over shipping it

Okay- not to be rude but let's recap:

First you asked:

Is the base map for my car going to be safe enough to drive 500km (To the nearest Osiris tuner)

General reply was- yes, just don't WOT. Take it easy.

Then you said:

Unfortunatly my tuner doesnt know Osiris... but he is a VERY good tuner with everything else.
So well take some time to Fumble around the software.

Most replies suggested going to someone who knows Osiris because it is finnicky.

Then you claimed:
We ended up having National Speed Inc From NC help us out on the phone, Randy the Tuner from there, made small adjustments on the tune and sent us revisions.

And then after:
at 2500rpm my engine is hesitating when accelerating.

You go back to:
Should I take it to a UpRev tuner a few hours away.

You then insist that:

NationalSpeed tuned my car... and I know they know uprev haha

Seriously?

Whats your point?

I can still drive my car. Just dont go into boost.

yes, Randy Hayward @ National Speed, Sat on the phone for 3 hours with us while we ran it on the dyno. Adjusting the tune, then emailing us back the ROM file. I assume he would do that tomorrow, however I dont know if I can get dyno time tomorrow in Ottawa.
I know that National speed is very good at UpRev. However the problem as the guys at UpRev have informed me, is that Emailing the ROM back and forth can degrade the information in it do to the Compression/Uncompression etc.

So I made an apointment @ Johnnys Motorsports in Montreal Tomorrow. So well find out if its a mechanical problem or a tune.

It only hesitates @ 2500rpm when at 50% throttle, Full throttle no hesiation.

I have no problem with driving it there. It drives fine. Just had the one or two codes for misfires. Have not had it since.
