str8dum1, I checked my Haltech logs from the dyno session and boost curve is pretty simalar from 1 pull to the next +- 75 rpm. I will do some logs on the street and see what those look like. What does it mean if the boost curves are not similar ?
Thanks for the help
ya if you do 3-4 full pulls back to back and the boost logs look the same as the boost curve on the dyno, it could be a boost leak like has been suggested. but double check those logs by doing 3-4 full pulls.

Its Garrett GT28RS (aka GT2860RS) Ball Bearing Turbo aka Disco Potato.

LOL! GTM has 2 stage 2 setups. So mid, unless you paid for this guys kit and has his invoice in your hands, i dont think you would wanna bet him any money.

Yeah pretty much sure they are the gt2871. That's what I ordered and also checked the part # on the Garrett boxes to Garrett's web site.
Definitely going to do a leak down check just so I know.
A boost leak is very possible as the tubing in the GTM kit is not necessarily round at each end.
Yes you guys are kind of harsh but its ok I'm just trying to figure out if there is something wrong with my setup or if it just sucks?
Blackbird, may take you up on those axles once I get some time on the car and some of the other issues worked out.

And this:

So, GTM only offers the GT2871's in the DE TUNER kit!!! but not in the DE TURN KEY kit!!!

Sorry CFZ for that

nightcrawler has the 2860s and they seems very laggy as well https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...-build-tt.html

Your powerband is right shifted by like 1000 rpms. Once that gets sorted, you're trq will be greatly improved.

FWIW I see about 8 psi on my HKS GTRS turbos (equivalent to a GT2871R if I recall, someone correct me if I am wrong) at about 4k RPM on a stock block VQ with a plenum spacer and ambient temps around 75 degrees.

The lower compression and I assume hot weather definitely dont help.

i would check the cam timing. something def. not right. setting up timing on vq's aint rocket science but there is a right way to time the motor correctly. you can check the timing on cipher by logging the intake cam advance from b1 and b2. if the numbers are not + or - .5 degrees with each other then you have a problem.

Careful... unless you are speaking from first hand experience, don't start any drama.

I know you are affiliated with another shop from that area of the country.
