Default Vortech w/ 2.87

Just wanted to share my results with my new uprev tune and 2.87 wheel. I hit 11psi at around 6600rpm. My power was 418/352 We took it to 7000rpm once and saw 14psi. The stock rev was kept in the end. The 600dw injectors were at 95% at 7000. Not good at all. They said that it had a lot more up top but wanted to keep it safe and not hurt anything. Had to pull a lot of timing. It pulls really hard and breaks loose really easy.
Overall im happy so far. The daily drivabilty is pretty good. I do get rich here and there when i go just a little more than partial throttle when cruising and of course wot. Dosent smoke. Dont think my car likes long drives though, after over an hour on the highway it would get rich and act up at the hint of touching the pedal just cruising at 70 on the highway. After i let it cool down at the house, it seems to be driving fine. They decided to keep it a little on the rich side for safety. No check engine lights. Thought id share.

Nice numbers! I can't wait and see what my vortech build with a 3.12 will do. What year is your car and do you have any supporting mods?

I'd be happy with those numbers.

Very nice! I have a 2003 with a v3 vortech, I want to make a reliable 400whp next spring after a tune. should I go with a 2.87 or a 3.12?
Ill be running 600cc dw injectors, test pipes, exhaust, 255 walbro intank fuel pump and a spacer. I am then going to get it tuned. Should a do a 3.12 or just go straight to a 2.87? I want reliablity, just curious since you most likely would know

I started with the 3.33,then the 3.12 and then the 2.87...Wish I started with the 2.87 and woulda saved $$$ in avoiding re-tunings...
