First off, I just wanted to say thank you for all the great information on this site relating to FI. I read through almost all of the Vortech FAQ thread, and have searched through countless threads to get all kinds of information regarding Vortech and FI in general.
My car is a 2006 G35 coupe 5AT. I had this kit installed at the end of August. It was a used kit with approximately 30k on it. Came with 3.12 pulley. Sold the RC 440s and the UTEC, and went with Uprev for tuning and Deatschwerk 600cc. Kit was installed and tuned at a well known shop that works on Nissan/Inf. exclusively. Purchased new belts and new idler pulleys, changed the belt layout setup to the new non rev layout. Car put down 373 whp/332 ft/lbs at 8.7 psi. Took the car back once to get everything checked out, tuner said the belt is tight and everything appears fine. Car runs awesome. The only other relevant mods I have are an HKS Hi Power, Technosquare L-spec flash, and Transgo valve body upgrade.
I am wondering if the sound level of my Vortech is normal? I've only heard one other Vortech G35 in person, and that one sounded similar to mine but one other for comparison isn't really anything. The shop that did my valve body upgrade told me that my supercharger sounds a lot louder than other VQ35s he's heard in his shop. He said it might be the blower itself or the jackshaft pulley as far as he can tell. I plan on taking the car back on Friday so we can remove the cog belt and try to isolate the source. I posted a vid and was wondering if you guys could give me your opinion. Do you think it is the blower? If it is I will send it for a rebuild. Thank you for your help!
PS-sorry for the shaky vid, I had just finished working out when I filmed the vid.
Not really sure how to embed the video, so here is the link:

Very hard to tell what's wrong from the Video.
It does not sound Good...
What is the Idle RPM?
What happens when you rev it a little?
At very Low RPM and the 3.33 the blower is turning very slow, and at this rpm the Blower make a terrible grinding sound that comes from the Back-Lash in the Gears, totally Normal.... Raising the Idle to 800 or so will get rid of it.
I've replaced all Idler pulleys 2 times, and the Jackshaft Bearings one time. (40,000 miles)
One way to Isolate the problem is to remove the cog belt and start it up.
If you still have the noise, it is Not the Blower.
If the Noise goes away, it is either the Blower or the Cog Idler bearings.
Also with the cog belt off, you can rotate the blower by hand to see if it Rotates Freely.

Idle is pretty high, its around 900 if I remember correctly. I have a 3.12 pulley on there now. I can't really tell whats happening when I rev as the sound of the exhaust and the whooshing of the air from the blower take over. The blower spun fine before we installed, and the tolerances as far as play goes looked good. But I will have the shop spin the blower once the cog belt is off. So is your blower quieter than this one, without making a similar sound as mine? We are going to take off the cog belt and try to isolate the source on Friday. Thanks very much

My Blower is pretty Quiet.
Just take Two Min's and take off your cog belt and start it up. This will tell you a lot.....

Took the belt off, noise went away completely. Sent blower in to 928 motorsports for rebuild, excellent service, super quick turn around..and now my car sounds close to OEM.
