any thoughts on sharing your ninja cam timing adjustments?

I haven't even started on cam timing yet. Still running it stock but i know it will probably help out.

also, are you going to update your timing thread with what you decided on using with this car on pump and on race?

I forgot about that timing thread. I stopped looking in at it when everyone cried that they should just go to a shop and not share any relavent information.

I left my damn osiris cable at home in the G35 so I will post the cam phasing maps tonight when i get home.

I kept the exhaust cams at 17deg and the intake cams at 30deg from 3000-5500 and then ramp down to 0deg by 7500rpm. This doesnt sounds like the ideal cam timing but its what provided the best compromise between midrange power and top end.

thanks for the info.

do you ramp into the 30*? i start my ramp ~1200, then full advance by 2500 to 5000 then ramp down to 0 by 7500.

none of my cam map is dyno tested though. didnt have any time.

YOu dont get this kinda cam jitter do you? My drivers side cam seems really jumpy. Thats the side that had my IVT solenoid wires all buggered up from when my vortech cog belt snapped.
The cam is still doing what its supposed to but just noisy.

Ah lucky bastard you get to do with proefi, im stuck with osiris so the logging isnt going to be pretty. I have mine set pretty much just like yours except with the exhaust cams advanced as well. I lost almost all my midrange when I zeroed the exhaust side out.

My DSS pro axles will be here this week so hopefully I can get it on the dyno to get the logs on the cams.

Im more worried about the exhaust cams being the problem since its electro-clutch based. Might just have to take them out for some cam gears if thats where i see the fluttering.

Pro axles came in and are on the car. One of my wheels is bent though and vibrating like mad so im on the hunt for a new set of 15x10 for my drag radials. Will have the car on the dyno tomorrow to try and clean up the curve some more.

Been busy over the past couple months with other projects but the axles are in. Looks like car will be headed in a different direction though and become a Texas Mile car.

i'd be inclined to think he'd get pretty close as the car sits with the greddy kit that's on it now.

We are building some some manifolds for precision 5858's right now that will keep them tucked next to the block but those 7168's will end up below the headlights on my car.

Nice... we have a schedule 10 304L manifold for the passenger side, all tubular style with a billet collector... we havent had time to do the drivers side yet. We jigged it up as a bolt in replacement for Greddy manifolds but I havent tried to see if we could fit something larger up there if we changed out the flange.

twin 7168 is pretty nuts, even for me they are making 1000whp on just 1 of those on supras.

For a mile car, probably an appropriate choice though.

I had to move the passenger side water pipe and some other stuff to make the 5858's work and keep the true 3" intake.
