I am not trying to start anything here by asking. The hr is still "new" to many shops and the shops may still be trying to figure out the right formula.

It was a local shop had about 3k miles on it ....but as I stated before it was an oil issue not a build issue ....castrol gtx 10w40 completely broke down to an almost water consistency .the oil only had 300 miles on it as I change oil every 1200-1500 miles .

300 miles? Doesn't matter what oil - just not likely unless you superheated it. I believe the Castrol european formula has had very good UOA feedback.

EDIT: looks like some versions of Castrol are not so good (ref BITHOG). Nevertheless blaming oil in 300 miles, unless engine abused during that period (over heating) seems unlikely.

Yes the German gtx is great from what I heard ... It was extremely hot I was at a local drag event where they changed the setup from multiple staging lanes to an almost hot Lap setup 2 runs and there the knock was ..all oil pressure and temp gauges were normal. 95 degree day in an open field no breeze

So for the rebuild big oil cooler and misimoto rad

looking at those dynos you have AMAZING low end. 2500 rpms you have 300tq and ~4000 rpms you are 400tq. That's awesome low end into a very strong midrange. I wouldn't change anything on that setup unless it was to add some octane in order to up the boost for higher power levels. That doesn't always relate directly into faster car though so I'm not sure I would mess with it.

If you are running back to back in high heat the meth/h20 injections would add some safety octane and provide a great amount of knock protection due to lowering the combustion temps.

As for cams, i have nothing to add. I do know for the most part aftermarket cams will push your power curve to the right so make sure you talk to a few manufacturers and tell them you are looking to gain more power down low if that's your goal so you can get the best set. If you are launching at 3500rpms and probably not falling below 5500 when you shift I would be more concerned with what's up in the higher rpm range so you can maintain that nice torque curve up in the high rpms where you will be racing. So, for racing, cams would be a great idea.

i have cams in my built hr, called them and went over sizing for awhile. they thought the 262's would fit best with a built HR with twins. the cams made a great difference top end aswell. noticed a huge flow difference over 600whp
