if i would have known about those i would have gotten that in a heartbeat vs the revup me loves high volume pumps.
anyone run this pump? seems almost too good to be true. For 179$ it's pretty cheap though!

I'll get it and compare it to the revup my engine is still in peaces. If it looks better then revup I'll use it

Sweet. It sounds better than the rev-up. I'm currently using the rev-up but I don't feel like tearing apart the engine to change the oil pump unless it's going to be a big difference.

I'll be honest, looks like it's not going to be any improvement.

In general if it's too good to be true, then it is.

Probably is like a re-branded rev up pump (for that price).

Ahhh... here's the most valuable post from that g35driver thread that jerryd87 posted earlier. The HR pump won't bolt up to a DE block. But he was able to swap the stronger dual pressure relief springs of the HR into the DE pump.

http://g35driver.com/forums/6496154-post7.html

That still doesn't address the aeration problem though.

err yah my bad thought i linked that, but he does mention that its just a little bit off and could rather easily be modified to fit. he called it "ghetto rigging" but i guess he would also consider swapping a 400 small block crank into a 350 for a 383 also ghetto rigging(talking about the first people to make it work not the easy turn key kits available now.)

as far as the pump i wouldnt really say so, that saying may old true in many instances but look at the pumps for small block chevys, a melling high pressure high volume is the same price as stock and vastly out performs it. so you can get better performance for the same price.

Looks like the TOGA HV oil pump is too good to be true. Follow the links to the other forums in that thread too.

Good luck. This wasn't as easy as it looks.
Not sure about the oil less turbos yet. If you run a smaller turbo that needs smaller dp and charge-piping it shouldn't be too bad.

2bad240 if you want to make it easy, just make it a rear mount. Just buy your favorite 2.5" single exhaust, cut off the muffler, weld on a t4 flange and you are 90% done.

You already have nitrous, so you could run a huge rear mount turbo and just spray til you hit like 10psi then let the turbo take over.

Let me guess the guy wants to do a highway pull? How about ask him to go to a track day then see who the better driver is.

I'm building my car for high speed on track roll on races (lol)... That's kind of where my mind's been for the past couple of years. (Want to keep up or beat liter bikes)

We're both pretty young so I doubt he's got any actual experience. That being said, not sure I want to go to a track and loose because I'm laggy, don't have brakes and not experienced enough to keep the damn thing spooled. I'm going for around 1000 @ the crank... Not really an auto x car lol. Eventually though I'd like to setup the car with coils, a proper aero system, full cage, brakes etc.

m6 isn't all that fast. I stomped one with my low boost setting effortlessly. The new m6 RECORD for 1/4 mile is 11.87@120mph and that was with stage 3 tune, intake, full exhaust, and drag tires. Stock they do mid/upper 12's. Not bad stock time but they are 150hp more than a slightly modified LS camaro that can run mid 11's.

They're fine but I was pretty sure they were a mid 12 car with driver. They weigh like 3800lbs if I recall corectly and those v10's really don't have that much torque (380 ish? vs 500hp).

I like them because they're a v10 otherwise they're kinda ugly, really heavy (I assume they handle well based off of bmw's history), but the kid has no idea about cars. Doesn't even know what a turbo is. I opened up the convo with telling him to get an exhaust and then he started talking about how it doesn't need one because it will beat everything.
I have no idea where he got the money for one, as we're in college and I really doubt he has a legitimate source of income that could provide for that kind of vehicle, but I'm not going to jump to conclusions.
