Default Anyone have the Snow performance water meth kit?

This one right here

http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...oducts_id=2218

Looking to pick it up. Got a few questions.

What kind of power increases were you able to safely get after it was installed?

Instruction manual says to install nozzle right before throttle body near a bend. I have a hole drilled near there for the wastegate. Will that affect the meth injector?

Where did you mount the pump?

And how did it affect the mileage of the car?

Thanks for any help

I have the Aquamist kit, not this system, but I'll try to answer your questions.

Hp increase really depend on your tuner and what your complete setup is. Also it depends on the mixture you use as well.

Before the throttle body is fine, can you put it behind the area of the hole you have for the wastegate?

My pump is mounted with the container for the meth.

Mileage on car hmmm, I'll have to get back to you on that one lol.

If you are really planing to push the HP with meth I suggested you get some kind of fail safe device , the AEM seams good and is fairly cheap

Don't think I'll be pushing it too far. The motor is still stock for now. I was thinking about the meth kit for reliability reasons.

I have a J&S knock sensor. Would that be considered a fail safe for a system like that? Or are you talking about an engine cutoff, in case the meth kit goes bad or stops working?

how is meth going to make your setup more reliable?

does meth increase the strength of the metal in your rods?

on a stock block, 91/93 pump gas has more than enough octane to prevent detonation with a proper tune.

It is a security in case your meth stops working, or doesn't flow enough.

+1 don't need meth on stock block. Unless you running a super small turbo which is blowing hot air at 8psi

Hot air is the reason I was looking at adding some sort of added protection. I have my compressed air getting compressed again through my twin charge setup. We never detected any signs of detonation during tuning and I have never heard it under load. However we dont know how hot that air is getting but were guessing hotter than we would like.

Now this might be a thread jacking but would anyone recommend e85 over water/meth in my situation? I know it is somewhere around 110 octane and is much cooler than reg 91. My fuel system is ready to go, just need 1000cc's.

E85 is 105 octane, not sure if it will cool the incoming air. I would do pre turbo water injection to cool the air or inject water before supercharger.

I figured anything that can cool the air running into the cylinders would help with reliability/long term maintenance.

No, meth does not increase the strength of metal in rods.

Apparently, a proper tune will fix almost all issues associated with boost and engine failure. So I will stick to my original plan and get a proper tune.

Thanks for your opinions.

Having an extra pump, hosing, etc is just more to fail.

with a stock block, keeping it as simple as possible is the absolute safest route
