SEXY Girl doing 500-600whp turbo build!!!
Contrary to your opinion, there was also a history and reputation for problems with boost spikes. Those who swapped out the wastegate seemed to resolve that issue IIRC.
Yeah I remember something similar too. I think it was the angle the pipe was on combined with the gate size. If the location was more efficient the gate would have been fine but because of the angle you needed a larger gate... Something along those lines. Not to mention the small downpipe size.

GTM kits are good, the biggest downside is fitment. If it's just your wife/girlfreind/freind/whatever, it's going to be quite an experience trying to get that thing on. And with no instructions, forget about it. Also, I'm friends with Leabear. No confirmation of a relationship there as well.
contrary to your opinion, thats not the gate, thats the old pipe routing fault. swapping out the gate to any other 38mm as was suggested wont make any difference.
majestic is localish and does great work and i'd have no problem buying a used kit from them.
OT: alberto, whens the last time you drove your Z, just curious. Havent seen any vids in a quite a while. no one really posts driving vids anymore.

everything on my kit fit very well except the bracket on the intecooler didnt match the old crash bar mounting spots very well. and it seems to be a common thing for theyre cast manifolds to crack. one of mine cracked and i think i remember seeing that midz350 went through a set or 2 of them aswell.
Edit: The "in a relationship" was just added on her page. Either someone's reading this or someone got an ear full.

But you yourself said and agreed to what I stated in that these things are fine for stock block hp levels at best:
+1
To increase the reliability, dont push the kit past what it was intended for. Everyone bitches about it bc they want too much. The kit wasnt designed for more than stock block use. But tuned in that range, its perfectly fine.
Larry at SP is a great guy. They dont have Uprev though, so you'd have to have the cable and rom editior yourself and bring it to him.

We really don't need to drag out the problems with the turbonetics kit. It's been documented a million times on here with plenty of opinions. It's a waste of time to get on a built setup simply because you're going to have to replace so much sh** for the same price you could get a used greddy and have a far far more capable setup.

They may have improved some of the fitment issues, there were repetitive complaints on this in the past. Some of this could be installer error, but I've been advised that removing the engine makes it a lot easier. Hope my experience is the same as yours for fitment.
This thread is hilarious on so many levels.
