Motor is pulled apart in the garage. Found 3/6 upper piston rings broken and 1 cylinder took some scaring. Will be dropping the block of to see if the scaring can be cleaned up. This motor is already .020 over not 100 percent yet but I may go .040 over or just get another block, do the HR cooling mod and punch that 1 to .020 over. I'm more than likely keeping the Vq unless some
One picks up this blower before I get it back together. I'm neither here nor there. Either will make me happy. LS or this motor rebuilt

Get her back together man! Really, its so I don't have to consider buying the blower from you. After seeing this car in Dixie last year I am certainly keen to it. (Dustin with the Blue and Grey Z that ran with you in SSM.)

On a side note, I am in the Orlando area now. Where do you autocross in Central Fla?

Hey colombo, I was curious, what are the condition of your main bearings? Especially the front ones? I hear more and more about belt tension causing extra wear on mains, and all that kind of jazz. And how many boosted miles did you have roughly? Just curious, you can pm me if you want.

They look ok in the pics but, what's the first hand consensus.

It looks like you have wiseco pistons too? Yeah I think you could get away with running one bore a bit looser than the rest.

I got roughly 4K track/hard driving miles on this motor. Everything inside still looks brand new. All main bearings look new still. Not a scratch on them really. Revving to 7600. I run the fluidampr maybe it helps maybe it didn't but my bearings, All of them look great

Little update. Jon from z1 sold me his spare block for dirt cheap. So I'll be building a separate block slowly in the future. I'll be using his block punched to .020 over and I ordered some JE Pistons at 96mm 10.0:1 comp. will be dropping off the block to have the HR mod done and punching it out. Should be able to start putting it all back together within the end of the month

Ive honestly thought about doing something like this.

Grafting two blocks together... its been done before.... but the heads.... and paying for a billet version and custom cams... and the crank....

It would be awesome if you could bolt the cranks together
