Wow
That's a hella nice curve! What did you do with your old trans? Did you have any mods on old trans? I have a 05 G with a/t and about to build a block to replace my bad block lol. Single turbo as of now.

lol the people who said that are very very wrong, people have been building the 700r4 and 4l60e for over 1000 whp since the mid-late 90s. you couldnt even purchase anything for the 200r4 outside of a valve body until around 09. the 200r4 will handle around 250-300 reliably stock, 700r4/4l60e about 450-500 stock. either can be built to hold 1000 hp however the 200r4 is going to be much more expensive because it has a smaller market(pretty much just turbo buick guys) vs the 700r4 and 4l60e which are everywhere and share parts. beyond 1000 whp the 200r4 has case flex issues,it will hold up sorta but its not going to last anywhere near as long.
the only advantage of the 200r4 is slightly less weight and using less power to spin it.
look into raptor transmissions or gearstar for a high power option gearstar make sure to either get the stage 6+ or the 4l85e all the 4lxxe series have the same bolt patterns they are just essentially revisions. expect to pay 6-9k for a 1k hp option for any of them thought.
sorry for the thread jack rc lol

yes, I agree with your statements but my sources state that the 700 or 4l60e can't hold 800+whp? I have read no....some say the 700 is stronger OEM but can't be built as strong.... I do hate the TV cable on the 200 but like the light weight.....then again there's always the th400...just miss my OD.

Not at all, informative stuff. I called many of the reputable GM transmission builders, Circle D, Jack's, etc. I was tempted but just didn't get to the comfort level I wanted to be at to start down that path. I wanted to make ZdayZ this year so decided on the tried and true swap.

max power 7004r and 4l60e
I have looked at the raptor website...800 hp max.....5500.00...2004r 2995 to 1000hp....don't care if its manual or electric..i can push a handle...... tth2004r can be refreshed by company for 350.00 when clutch paks wear...easy choice.
Look at what you don't have to worry about anymore Raj!!
PS the websites you suggested I search, gearstar, rated the highest level of output by both the 7004r and 4l60e at 650 hp...2004r is rated by them at 750 hp..
raptor is 800 for the 4l60e
extreme automatics is 1000hp 2004r for 2995.
still looking for 1000 hp 4l60e

200 is lighter and has OD...don't want the heavy 4l80e so my only choice for an OD trans capable of 800-1000 hp is the th2004r...I am still looking for a 1000 hp 4l60e as jerry suggested as it WOULD be perfect for what I want..i just cant find one...and at a decent price.....I don't need 3000 whp capability of a th400 fully built W/O OD....just 1000hp=800 whp max would do..its all going to be a compromise anyway....at 299.005 the 1000 hp th2004r looks hard to beat..but the 4l60e and th400 are awfully close just a different compromise....w/o finding a 1000 hp 4l60e, the th400 is cheaper and stronger, just heavier and no OD, but I MAY can live with that, and, as you stated, it is proven and shops have experience with it......

You've repeated that several times in multiple threads. My point is that the Supra guys don't use that trans; not even for the sub 1000whp builds and despite the fact that the Supra has a smaller trans tunnel than the VQ. If the 200r4 was really a superior choice or option, the Supra guys would be using it. But they don't. It would behoove you to research why.

seems like I've got a week to figure out my fuel pressure issues, and retune for higher than 14psi.
Raj needs to learn to drive a manual car. Maybe I should loan him my buddies Yugo to practice on
and ohh ya, 200r4? never at 800whp nor the revs needed to get there.... (for the same budget)

^ hey, how do you know I can't drive a manual car! It might be true but you got at least run me first!
Traveling today, so dyno charts will have to wait but got a quick update from Hal that e85 tuning is going well but boost is tapering from 25 psi down to 20 psi. He's going to try ramping the solenoid up more aggressively (14 psi springs so hopefully the Tial gates will hold 28 psi). Boost comes on very quick with e85. On my phone looks like 700 wtq and 500 whp at 4k rpms! Traction killer, will need to sort that out. Hopefully with boost controller... Peak whp looks nicely into the 700s on e85 so far (despite the taper to ~20 psi).

Ok, here is the update from Hal on Monday. You can see the issue. Turbos may be out of steam? On a Dynojet this may be well over 800 whp. I don't think I've heard of any single GTX2867 going much past 400 whp DJ so far on the net, so this may be it.
I've asked Hal to keep the boost down at low rpms if there is no way to bring it up in the higher rpms.
The 93 curve holds steady at 17 psi no issues. The e85 curves peak at 25 and taper to 20 psi.
Hal is still on the dyno, 5 days straight with my car now, for the 93 tune, e85 tune, mixed maps, and driveability tuning... Appreciate all the hard work Hal! Will try to get final numbers tonight or tomorrow am.
PS: I do not actually have a "G37 exhaust", but I have modified a G37 muffler for twin 3" inlets, true dual 3" exhaust, two cats, 100 cell and 200 cell in series on each side. Electric cut outs are pre-cat, pre-muffler.
PSS: food for thought, for next year!!!
