Sorry to take this off topic… But if either of you need 3.12 (new) or 3.25 (used) pulley I have them both for sale. Hit me up. Carry on… I'm also following this thread closely. Goodluck to you both!

Yeah, the 32/32 helps slow down the blower quite a bit. You'll probably get numbers before I do because I still need a proper fuel delivery setup. Likewise, I want to get an ATi Big Red BLV and a bigger intercooler before going for final numbers/tune.

My YSi setup may be found here: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ysi-build.html

Got the blower in yesterday... I should be at a point where I can start/drive the car tonight:

Installed:

This blower is more closely sized to my V3, and I can now really see just how large that YSi was...

That's great. I'm glad to see it installed. I just spoke to Vortech and as soon as they are done inspecting my V-3, I'll be trading up to the V-2 Ti trim also. We'll see what it can do for the HR in the next month or so.

Thank you Oldman for putting out this info. I was a little bummed that my kit was limited to the Si trim. This was great timing. I'll shoot for the same power with the Ti as I would have over-spinning the Si, but I'll be able to do it at much lower blower rpms. Then when the motor does get built, I'll have some room to grow with the supercharger. I'm stoked.

Negative. I was planning to wrap things up and go for a drive tonight, but I got caught up with something else.

I still won't be able to get on it like I really want to, however. I was barely able to get a decent street tune with the YSi before it went. I think Colombo's going to get results before I do, as he already has a lot of things I don't have in place.

You know, I was kinda of hoping that as well. That was one question I didn't ask, unfortunately. I'm wondering if that was a SEMA specific volute, or if they actually sell that finish at cost.

While I was hoping it was black, I'm not mad that it looks the same as the rest of their blowers. It's nice to pop the hood and have people think it's just a stock Vortech kit.

Buying Direct from Vortech is Top Retail !!!!!!!!!

Their are Much Better Deals to be had from Vortech Dealers, and their are different Dealer Levels depending on their gross sales.

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...php?country=US

(Example) Superchargers Online is about 10-15% cheaper on most parts

V-7 Straight Discharge Heavy Duty YSi-Trim (CCW, Satin)

Vortech Retail Price $3360.95

Summit $3120 (Free Shipping)

Jegs $3120 (Free Shipping)

Superchargers Online $2913

When Spending $2000 Plus on something always Call, and ask "What is your Best Price" most places always have a Better Price.

Note: Most website are Not Updated, and some of the info is Wrong.

Spend the Time and do your Research, or pay the Price!

Great info here.

I think Colombo and I were somewhat "forced" to order through Vortech because of the buyback program.

The Dealers are Just the Middle Men…..

Most Offer everything Vortech does, Upgrades, Buybacks, repairs, Headunits, Kits and Parts.

Also in most cases, Vortech would drop ship direct to you. And you would ship to Vortech, but you make the purchase from the Dealer @ a Discount (Real Price)

I have found that the customer service and technical help I get is better from some dealers.

I'm not trying to stick it to you guys after the fact, I'm trying to help. I've had many post on here about this over the years.

Oh, I know you aren't trying to stick it to us, lol. That's why I said that your post had really good information. I had no idea there were dealers who did more than just sell Vortech stock, so I'm sure this will help out a few people.

Just curious, what dealer(s) have you had experience with that had the same (or better) technical and customer service than Vortech?

I think OldManZ was posting discounted YSi prices. Obviously, the YSi is going to be more expensive.
