Default Walbro 255LPH

Hi guys, so I'm getting my car tuned tomorrow (finally).

I installed a ATI procharger supercharger with 600cc injectors, GT MAF, bigger pulley. I have a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump that I won't be able to install in time for the tune. But I was reading on here that if your looking to push 450rwhp then u can upgrade to the Walbro fuel pump.

Question is will not having the Walbro installed before the tune cause me to lose HP? Or will it not make a difference right now cause I'm not even close to making 450 rwhp yet?

Install it. It takes like 30 min to swap out. Walbro or DW have DIY instructions on their websites. Plus it doesn't make sence to get tuned twice. Get everything done the first time, then tune afterwards.

You dont need tuning for a fuel pump. As long as the stock one can handle the power, you can swap it out and not retune it.

This is not true, any changes to your fuel system will cause changes to your fuel map

You can replace the entire fuel system, every last part, minus the injectors, and you do not need a retune. Fuel maps depend on the injectors being unchanged, and the fuel pressure curve being unchanged. So long as you do not change the injectors or make modifications that effect the fuel pressure curve, then you do not need to retune.

yes.

Also, your sig makes me feel a lot safer lolol

what is your peak torque number btw?

edit: nvm, read your build on the370z. I see 520. I hate that our HRs make more torque and less peak HP than the VHR. Mine's currently putting out 521wtq and we know that's all that matters to our weakest link- the rods. So I only get 621 and you get 671 lol smh.

phunk2:

I'm currently running a Walbro 255 and purchased a Aeromotive 340. Will the Aeromotive be a "drop-in" fit to the Walbro 255 hardware, or will I need some sort of kit to install it?

they fixed that like 3 years ago, so its only a problem if you get an old one.

It will be a pretty much direct replacement for the Walbro. Its the largest worth putting in the stock 350z pump housing.
