Hey guys, managed to get a lot done today. I took pics of everything buts it's 1:30 am and I'm going to bed. I will post pictures tomorrow. Removed test pipes and y pipe. Then mounted exhaust all the way up to the turbo. Removed ac line and then mocked up the turbo placement. It looks good fitment was spot on so far. It amazed me. The pipe that leads to the turbo was a ***** to get in but once in place it lines up perfectly. I could not get it to line up at first so I used the exhaust clamp and an air tool and when tightening the clamp it pulled the 2 pieces together. Good quality clamps for sure. Well goodnight guys. Hopefully will start the intercooler junk tomorrow!

Okay, started a little more before work and school and started to do the intercooler piping. I started from the TB since the intercooler is not mounted and the compressor on the turbo is facing the wrong way. I removed my Nismo CAI and then continued to remove the MAF from the rest of the piping. I spent about an hour trying to get one of the 3 inch couplers they gave me to fit around the throttle body... wasn't working. So without being able to mount the intercooler I still wanted to get work done. With the small amount of time I had I got the intake side intercooler piping in place up to the MAF pipe which would then go to the the small 75 degree pipe that goes to the TB... but I still couldnt get the coupler to fit. They fit on the pipes but not the TB. mocked up the BOV just to see how it looks. The intercooler pipe comes very close to the belt and the pulleys will need slightly adjusted.

Wanted to show the little work that was done today. Also the picture of all the exhaust pipings are from 3 broken y pipes. PLEASE use test pipes that use the bracket support. Broke 3 in less than 6 months. All different kinds Nismo, to ebay ones. Broke very quickly due to the whole exhaust swaying while revving and nothing holding the test pipes in place. The exhaust will just "float" on the hangers and move everywhere. The pics of my Z were to show that I only have about a foot of room on anyside of my car lol. The only space I can really get to work on it is from underneath (slightly exaggerating, but not really). Okay well maybe more work tonight. I don't work tomorrow, so for sure tomorrow.

Matt out.

You will not be able to install the turbo with the pipe that has the BOV on it installed. In addition you should do all the exhaust stuff first because you need to align the piping with the turbo outlet

Okay good call. I'm looking at where the downpipe goes from the turbo to the exhaust. Am I supposed to cut a 6 inch cutout in the frame lol. You can see just by looking the downpipe will easily run into the the side of the engine bay. Probably will end up doing what you're doing. And thanks for the pointer on the install. Maybe when I'm done we should write instructions and sell them to godspeed lol. Ups just dropped off injectors.

No you do not cut the frame of the car. You can follow TN kit instructions for installing exhaust piping.

have you thought about a clutch yet? You'll find out real quick that one thats worn out will let go around 3-4psi ... thats what happened to me at least when I finished my twin turbo install and thought the stock clutch would get me by for a while at low boost but after a few weeks it would slip once it seen boost in the 3-4psi range. for cheap I'd go with a southbend DXD, I have a JWT with a cheap chromoly flywheel and I "think" its slipping after being on it for about a year at 8-9psi
