Default Dynosty & Boosted Performance go 10.4@140MPH..

If this doesn't belong here MODS feel free to move it!!!

So here it is after all the years of building we finally made a pass to justify doing it at all..

Backstory:
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...o-boosted.html

The car was fun right about there, but eventually I got thirsty for more power and decided it was time to build the baddest street car I could. So with the help of the guys at Dynosty and Sasha from BP we decided to build using the biggest turbo we could fit under the car:
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...t-results.html

After many years of working it out we ended up with a staggering 934WHP !! So we took it out to see what it could do..

After about 15+/- passes just like this one we were no doubt frustrated. I just couldn't get the car the launch, and Im not one for feathering the clutch.. So it was bog after bog after bog etc...
Best pass was 13.19@ 137MPH..

Then I spoke to Hal@Dynosty and he worked his magic setting up the Haltech's Anti-Lag Launch Control feature.. From there it was off to the track:

This video supplied buy a guy in the stands

That was unfortunately my last pass of the night due to me running a 10.4@140MPH without a certified chassis. And since I made such a fast pass theres no slip to back it up!!! According the the tech guys, and my cousin who was on the track with me there is a lot more in the car..I had never felt a launch like that, and wasn't even prepared for it. I dragged out 1st gear way too long and only shifted in to 2nd to correct the straight line of the car as it pulled to the left off the line.. And clearly granny shifted my 1-2, but was still able to lay down a decent E.T. This car as of now has its full interior and had a full tank of gas thru this pass..

So now we're working on a cert. 8.50 chassis and comp license for next season, shooting for low 9's and hopefully break in to 8's.......

This thread was created to clearly show what a properly/purpose built HIGH HP 350Z is capable of, as long as you have the right guys on your side..

Dynosty- Hal,Eddie, Dustin & the girl that sometimes answers the phone and puts up with my rudeness, Sasha@ Boosted Performance all have put so much into this build as well as countless others who either wrenched on the car or just offered support.. I can't thank you all enough!!!

For more info contact Hal@Dynosty/Sasha@Boosted Performance direct.

Very nice work!!! Youre already ahead of the curve and there is definitely more in the car with you trapping 140.

Nice man. What fuel are you running at the track? And what size injectors if you don't mind me asking? Hal explained to me that my ID2000's were going to be a major problem with very little upturn on my new low power setup. Fortunately some one in town is going to let me run their id1000's though.

If Old School buys it, I'm in.
Most impressed with your devotion and investment. Here's to you, your tuner and Mr K.

That pass was on E85 which was about 74 in the tank and measured about 81 at the pump when tested. I'm running ID2000's. I've run 93 octane to feel the car out, and have never had a problem with the injectors with any fuel combination..

Great to know! Can you hold stoich on idle? Or are you running a bit rich?

I usually see AFRs around 13.5 at idle maybe a little leaner. I can't say I've been watching tho as of late because it was never an issue and doesn't really seem to change. Whilst cruising I've noticed 14.x and seems to be right on all the time. There were some issues with idle that Hal took care of in like 30 seconds but nothing serious. I've run this car on a mixture from E85 to 93 pump and back to E85. I've made 15+ passes on a mixed tank trying to get it as high ethanol content as possible since mixing. I've never experienced any issued whatsoever, and this last pass I pumped the tank down to as low as I could get it before filling with ethanol. Also I might add that in some of the coldest weather I've started the car with no issues. IMO the Haltech, Hal's tuning and the car are all doing what they were meant to do. No complaints here!!

Wow that's great! Both hal and other tuners now have been saying I'll be idling around 12 with the 2000's. 13.5 is totally fine. Hal was saying it takes tons of time to set up correctly, another tuner was saying the car will hunt if you set it leaner than 12.X. Well I got these Id1000's now so I'm probably just going to sell the 2000's and keep the difference in $. I have dual 044 pumps so I can run plenty of pressure through the 1000's. On Vortech + spray that should be plenty

FWIW though I personally couldn't get a base map to idle worth a damn on the id2000's so far so. Not that I know what I'm doing lol

I had that "hunting" issue on idle but it was due to something simple that Hal sorted in 30 seconds. I belIeve it was something to do with idle coolant temp. Can't remember..
As far as base maps for the 2k's your not gonna find one to run decent. We brought the car out to Hal and had them install the bigger injectors before he tuned. We were more concerned with getting the motor in and everything back together and running with no leaks before Dynosty got their hands on it.

Congrats on the very nice run. What tires? I tried launch control at 4500 rpm on the 1/2 mile run and just spun 1st and had to short shift to 2nd to get moving. (On RE11s)

I went from ID2000s to ID1300s but 1300s are maxed out at low 800s dynojet. You cannot get stoich at idle (around 13 for me) with ID2000s. They are not bad though. I am not certain I can really tell any difference in driveability between the two.

I used to run RE11's till I got the car home, then switched to a set of Mickey Thompson drag radials for my 19" street wheels. I ran those at the track, jus launching at 4_5k no anti lag launch control and got wheel spin of coarse. Eventually got them to hook up but most of my problems were bogging.. Then I ran a 16" set of MT drag radials and found the same results. Then this night I came out with a Hoosier 28x10x16 full slick (16# air pressure) and the anti lag and found this to be the best set up yet!!!
I am probably gonna run at Englishtown next Sunday morning, only worKing on launching and I'll run 1/8 mile so I get a decent time slip for the day.. I'll lower my launch rpm to find the sweet spot but I definitely have a long way to go.

There really is no need to build this much HP unless your going to the strip. It's really useless on the street/ highway due to tires breaking traction. I've left 200'+ marks on the highway in 4th gear at 80+ mph.. That's scary and I don't effff around in traffic...
I'd like to make Z days next year and run that 1/2 mile but up top the car gets squirrelly and it's not a good feeling.

Hal said if the car was there he could work something out, and I'm sure he could. I was just a bit irked to find that out after Injector Dynamics explicitly say that you can get the id2000's to idle at stoich. They're not exactly cheap. Now you can always say whats 1 grand in the scheme of a build, but when this car has been from jack stands to jack stands for a few years, I'm not too pleased to have to buy something else. Especially that I was under the impression they were the best. But the 1000's won't have any issues with e85 and I have plenty of pump so whatever. Someone will buy my id2000's for a hell of a price I guess!

And I bet your car lays down 11's like a beast. Can you get some go pro footage of it? That'd be pretty cool!

I'll be happy if I can break 600whp on the TI blower alone. I'll just throw in some spray to have "big boy" numbers. I drove a 997 gt3 rs 4.0 with an exhaust and it totally changed my perspective on what I wanted out of my car.
