If Aboodi can push 32psi on 11.1 and cams, i think well be alright as long as were taking the necessary precautions and using the best parts we can get. Granted i dont have Turbo Tuff rods abd 625+ head bolts/studs. My L19s should be fine, and Eagle under rates their H-Beam rods, Rated at 600hp but seem ppl push over 800whp with no issues on the VQ with ethanol or race gas. At most without belt slip (Whuch i believe there will be some) i will be at 25-26psi at 6600, plan to rev to 7100 if Vlad gives the go ahead and there is enough fuel on the table.
I have a habit of watching those dyno fail videos on Youtube so its got my nerves on edge lol
I though eagles were good to 800? I think one of the most understated fact of the eagles is that they are notable lighter than your traditional aftermarket rod.
I think dyno-fail videos are a false sampling of the aftermarket realm … I think a good tuner, a solid build, and running quality fuel is the best thing you can do. Does tihs happen - of course...but I think more often than not something breaks but doesn't grenade the entire engine.

I could of sworn i read they were 600hp rated of Eagle's webpage. Might of been wrong. Actually other sites from what i am seeing after a few hits on google say 750-800. I stand corrected.
True but even after you do everything you can to make sure everything is copasetic, you still worry about the "Unknown Variables". As long as i dont go into the dyno session with expectations, i wont feel bad if my pre targeted goals arent met.

oh yea! I hear ya...and you never know when you got the shtty part of the gas delivery truck. I do agree that you can only control so much but of what we can control I do my best to ensure it functions as intended!
Not much of an update but changed up some cosmetic details. Changed up my windshield banner, Not sure how i feel about it, will let it sit for a few days. Car has been bada$$ besides that. Just waiting on Tune day.
Car heads back to National Speed tomorrow for 2nd Tune attempt. Besides the regapped plugs (.024-.025), Gates RPM Serpentine belt and pulley swap from the 3.12 to the 2.62, these are the only changes. Bringing a generic Gates belt of the same size just incase the RPM belt snaps.
updates every 3 to 5 minutes, right? In for results!!
Updates won't be that frequent but I will make sure to make every detail is known. Just too damn nervous something will go wrong again. I am anticipating some amount of belt slip especially in the higher rpms. Last step is to get the carbonite coating on the 2.62 pulley if it happens. and if there is not enough fuel, I will let Vlad know to lower my rev limit. Not wanting to switch pulleys. I want to make the 2.62 work.

I guess we will see which rods will hold out longer, your Eagles or my K1 rods. I'm just glad there's a healthy supply of E85 where I'm at. (Winter blend here has been a steady 82-83% which is nice.)

Oh! Let me know how those RPM belts hold out. I was too scared because of the belt recoil after letting off the throttle from high RPM since the RPM belts don't stretch nearly as much as the Fleetrunners. (I'm on belt #7, have 2 spares in the trunk)
Well some bad news for those that like good news. On the 16th pull, i started to push coolant and the consensous is that the head gasket failed. Before hand, my coolant cap was pissing coolant on the first half pull, after replacing it, it seemed to remedy the problem.
I have L19 head studs installed and im not sure what happened. I remember before when i had my old setup with the SCi trim, i had the same problem, but i was running the ARP standard head stud kit. Perhaps my heads are warped? Im not sure why at 16lbs that the problems started to arise.
Either way leaving the shop discouraged, but the team at National speed were nothing but helpful. Even helped me get the car on the trailer.
Sorry to hear also! Hang in there Bluestream, you are putting in more than your share of effort so far and you'll get it worked out. I'm wondering possible deck surface of block and/or heads?
