I was wondering the same thing but figured it just the way they tune it since they aren't punching the throttle until about 3400rpm anyway. Up until the last pull the car was also spinning on the dyno and they sat someone in the hatch to remedy. On the street the car will certainly spool a lot harder if I lay into from lower rpms, but there's also probably some limitations in the design of the kit in general.

I do wonder if I jumped to larger turbine housing turbo if it would reduce EMAP and increase flow. Even though the G series turbos are super-efficient, a 62mm is on the smaller side for most VQ turbo kits I've seen.

Another thought is that I'm only running 8psi worth of wastegate pressure, so the controller is working overtime and near it's limit at this power level. I bet spool would improve if I jumped closer to a 12psi base pressure.

Yes, I try to get a drive in at least once a week if the weather isn't bad. Definitely still would love to have a supercharged vert someday!

Trying to go for a similar build to yours, my question is what flywheel and clutch set up are you running, and is it similar to OEM feel?

It's an Exedy HD Twin Disc w/Cerametallic discs. I added the RJM clutch pedal to give more adjustment. I would not say it is similar to OEM, but is streetable. As it gets hot, it grabs more and becomes a bit more difficult to modulate, but it holds and puts the torque down which is what matters most.
