Default Shops Still Building Stage 1 Short Blocks

Hi All, long time lurker with few posts. The wisdom and expertise on the board has been great and has helped me greatly with my turbo kit install. I have a 2003 350Z with the Soho turbo kit on a stock block running at 7 PSI. Things are fun and stable at 370 rwhp 360 torque.

My goal for the car is to reliably achieve 450 rwhp 400 ft/lbs and I feel the window is closing on shops who still build stage 1 short / long blocks. I've been researching shops for the past few years and it looks like support for this engine is fading quick.
I'd greatly appreciate your advice, preferably through PM, on shops who are still building these engines.

Thanks all,

Rich

Can you live with a reliable 425hp / 400ft-lbs?? Because if so, just dial up your boost to get you to 400 ft-lbs … if you must have 450hp, then you might as well take it up to 600hp / 500 to 550ft-lbs bc that’s sorta the entry level for a built block.

I would find a good shop that rebuilds engines and have them do it.

I’m sure Soho will build a DE for you - but I think they are expensive but may be worth it.

Get the parts and a block to any engine machine shop near you
It's going to be cheaper than any engine bought from online

Thanks guys for the advice. it would be very satisfying to own the decision making and some assembly of the build. I'll read up on the short block builds through the years from this community and try to keep the questions to a minimum.

Soho is currently working on a V2 for their DE kits so I'm pretty sure they are still working on them, their price is high tho albeit the do have a stand and actually test the products they sell so I value that.

I love your 2003 350Z. Since my English is not very good, I usually search internet for useful information. When I need to write an essay for a task, I frequently go to https://writinguniverse.com/free-essay-examples/adhd/ for help. I go to that website to read the free example essays that are available there. If you want to write an essay and require samples, you may go to this website and finish your essay themes.
