redva350z, The install isn't too bad. I got hung up on a few things, it took me about 1.5 weeks of working after work in my garage.

Congrats Tony!

Good pics.. I see they are replacing the paper wastegate gaskets with a turbonetics gaskets. Much better IMO. Also installing a Blitz DD BOV. It's gonna sound just like mine..

ROFL!

Thanks...

I am mostly serving in an advisory capacity...and pointing out all the pitfalls and gotch-as. Yes, 350NOW, we are replacing the stock greddy paper wastegate gaskets with those nice thick, metal turbonetics deltagate gaskets. I told tony that would save in hours of aggrevation in the future.

Tony has promised himself that the install will be zone in three total days...ending at Sunday at midnight. If he does that, I think this will be a World Record for fastest Greddy TT self-install.

I'll keep ya posted!

I have never installed the Greddy but I did my own Vortech install and if he gets all of the parts included in that kit installed I will be amazed. The fact that you need to replace the headers makes me think he is being overly optimistic. Not saying it can't be done but, Good luck!

I just spoke to him. He is done installing the manifolds, turbos, wastgates, heat wrapped everything, and ran the oil lines.

Hmm....I dont think he's going to complete the job by tonight..

All he has left to do is remove plenum, remove fuel rail, install injectors, replace everything....then install the oil pan, run the return lines, run the intercooler piping, run the intake piping and filters, wire the eManage, install his guages, and install his cats.

yeah...he's almost there....I can just feel it..... ha!

did he have any problems with the exhaust manifolds? I was messing around today trying to see if I could fit a socket wrench up in there to get to most of the bolts. It's pretty tight, heh.

There is one bolt on the driver side that is almost impossible to get to. But it's doable...just patience and some creativity.

I just spoke to Tony, and apprently there is an AL 90degree elbow that is missing from the kit. He counted all the pipes, and compared to the inventory sheet. One piece is definately missing.....aaahhhhh...crap.

Damn...that compressor housing makes my hand look like that of a child!

Well, someone please give Tony some moral support. He is on the verge of quiting and pulling everything off the car and returning to stock. He is very dissapointed and pissed off because that part was missing...and he deosnt want to wait for days for a replacement part to arrive from Greddy.

So he's in a hold pattern....I'll post more once I talk to him again.

Jeff, there have been no updates from Greddy on CARB exemption status. Last time I talked to Kenji, they promised by mid summer.

And since I am moving to NC...I dont really give a crap anymore....KIDDDING! Just KIDDING guys! CARB SHMARB
