The 3rd link was general info, I don't have time for that.

They did do a couple runs with it stock, out of the box and found it had 10 lbs of boost, which is WAY too much for anything not built and driven hard.
Yes I am on 91, and running on 7lbs boost and getting more power than was registered pre clutch failure with 10lbs. This is what brainstorm advised me of, I do NOT know allof the conditions at that time.
When they were doing this is when they discovered I had a clutch problem (which I still need to review myself) and so everything got off track at that point.
I will see if they kept those initial runs and I will get my hands on them.
What did you dyno on?
Obviously I need to expedite my trip to Strictly Dyno.

I do not believe they kept a copy of it, but I will ask anyways.
Perhaps something happen to the map in my kit?
dunno.

I just got back from one of my "every day" runs where I get on/off a freeway ramp to get somewhere and then on/off again to get back.
Both ramps are 0-80 opportunities which are now 0-100 if I do it right, and the kick is just incredible.
I am re-learning to drive the car in 1st & 2nd above 5500 at WOT, the tires are very willing to spin. Through 3rd and 4th you need just a tad of counter/corrective steer at the top end as well, you are pushed back through 4th gear, and of course it lets up in 5th put you are still pulling twice as strong as you were before.
I've come up on 145/150 very nicely, whereas before power after 130 was diminishing greatly.
i'm getting a gtech soon and i will start data logging and post it.
i wanted to get it before but i just didnt have time.
Your car is awesome Joe. Be careful because if you get in a habit of staying on the gas with that thing you might get your car taken away from you for excessive speeding. What is a rush at first becomes common place I assume.

As I had the car for about a week after install, but before final tuning, I got used to that initial kick. When i got the car back and I found some space to use it again, the first couple runs, didn't seem as much of a rush as when I first got the car.
I think you and I spoke about this, perhaps it was a good thing to have the car come and go as it did in order to allow me to get used to it.
The adrenalin level is just as good though, and this is one of the reasons I chose this kit, a twin turbo kit, because I believe as I want to do more power, I will be able to do it more reliably, over the life the car, on a "as needed" basis.
As far as the authorities go, I have been driving faster than I need to for quite a while. Fortunately nothing negative has ever arisen from those spirited moments.
It's the driver in all cases whether it's street or track. I'm fortunate that I haven't had any legal issues but it hasn't been due to dumb luck either.
Under any conditions, you need to pay attention. You are responsible not only for your actions, but the affect that is going to have on all those around you, including the authorities.
Radar Detectors help, but they won't protect you absolutely.
This was funny, this was not serious.
This morning, along the way to work, I'm making a right onto a street, at the stop sign before I made the right, there was a Honda S2K.
I make my right, normal driving, we both make it to the next stop sign.
I'm completely intending to drive normally.
As we both begin to leave the stop sign, I can hear him being to jump on it.
I matched him on reaction time, jammed on it through 3rd gear in about a 1/4 mile before the freeway on-ramp that I was intending on getting on.
Needless to say, he was slaughtered by about 4/5 car lengths
My car is currently a sleeper, stock looking outside, no stickers, etc..etc.. So initially, I'm certain that guy was wondering what happened.
He's probably in a research/upgrade frenzy right now trying to figure out how a 350z could have done this.
Now I think that under full acceleration, and full boost, I think my car is still letting off a bit of blue smoke due to the richness of my setup and the engine not being completely warmed up at that time, so it may have been a indicator that something was up with my car.
Either way, it was funny as hell. I ended up over 100MPH before I had to brake and jump on the freeway on ramp.
It would have been nice if it was a true launch, but there was slight forward motion already by the time I realized he was going to jump on it.
I am not posting this to impress anyone, or demonstrate my kits ability, it was just funny!

Had another blast last night actually, Mercedes SLK/AMG/WHEELS/TIRES/TINT wasn't going to let me merge onto the 405 from the crappy ventura blvd/101 on ramp death trap in Sherman Oaks/Encino.
And behind him there is 50 cars that I am not going to make it through right? Wrong!
So I boost and jump in front of him and I get across, and I would have sworn he was going to take the 101 east/west as he stayed in the right lane vs left lane to merge onto the 405.
So he's "going to teach me something" is what I'm figuring.
No such luck, we both end up over in the weave lane to merge to 405N, and wouldn't ya know, there is nobody in the lanes next to us, or even close enough to worry about, and traffic ahead is not a concern at that moment.
So See ya SLK... He tried up through about 120 he was always back about 3/4 car lengths at best, as I broke 140 he worked his way over to the right of the freeway, I don't know where he went afterwards.
What was funny about the whole thing, my client was actually behind me when we got on the on ramp, he was driving his S500/AMG and he called me about 30 seconds later laughing his A$$ off. He said he couldn't believe how fast I accelerated over the SLK/AMG.
I don't think this is a kill persay, but that sure was an awesome run, and should have been a humbling experience for him.
Nice...

Also, thanks for the well wishes. I'm scheduled to have the knee operated on next Monday. Hopefully I'll be recovered enough to test out the new ride shortly after they complete the install and tuning.

I had the chance because my clutch went out (which I picked up today and what failed was the damn flywheel more on this later)
so I had the car for a week, and I had to stay under 4K RPM which was fine.
I have said what is nice about this is I got to learn a little about the car after FI before using all of it, however when I got to use it fully, I do believe I got less of the initial thrill as I had already gotten somewhat used to it.
So if I were you, I'd just stay away from it until you get fully tuned version 1, you will get a better boosting experience!

trust me on this I've driven a lot of cars, but when you got someone elses car, even some were given to me with all the trust in the world, you under drive it, and also can't experience it as much as an owner. So when you have your own, it's completely different.
Ever car I've driven that was turbo, was turbo from the start, so yes it's fast. It's an incredible feeling when you take YOUR non FI car and make FI and feel/know the difference in YOUR car.
Now as I stated in the beginning, I ran out into the open with the double flack jacket for the team here, so my car got tuned very well conservatively (bulletproof). This was for all I can do, on/off street/track and 'no worries mate' kind of driving.
I love it, it does a great job. However I decided I want to have the 2nd map for my car fully street tuned, with just a little less comfort cushion. This will be good on and off track under cooler weather which we in Southern Cali should be experiencing for 4/5 months easily.
After this I believe we are going to go with a 2nd ECU and a switch, i'll most likely stick the switch right next to the VDC for STREET/TRACK mode and it'll be labeled STM!

I saw your dyno, your car came in just a hair under mine, you had 257/222. I saw you had the nismo exhaust, have you done anything else with your exhaust? I was at 261/228 and I have the high flow cats. I was hoping before I got about 8/9 from my Stillen Exhaust and about 10/11 from my cats but after seeing your dyno, I'm not sure how the 20 HP arrived on my car.
Unfortunately the prior dyno was on a dynojet, so the odss are I actually had less power than the 240 it reported, so maybe I did get more from my cats/exhaust upgrade.
Anyhow, Brainstorm/Roshan now have more experience with the Z engine, and you have a newer ECU which may further benefit from this kit than mine.
Would it be ok to get our "before and after" dynos together? If it's ok, I'll ask Roshan to produce and e-mail those to me for posting.

If someone knows J's350z/Jason, could someone ring his bell?
I did find something more about this.
The stock map was produced with a cat back exhaust, however with stock cats in place.
I had high flow cats in place, and therefor I had less back pressure. This made the impact on the stock map.
Does that make sense?

If so , was up?
WRT the dual ECU approach, it may be worth a call to Unichip to see if you can get a controller with extra Flash space and the ablity to switch between maps. Having to use muliple ECUs for multiple maps seems crude and expensive.
I would also consider running an additonl boost controller (in series with ASP solenoid vaccum line , such that you could tune for max boost on the street and use the boost controller to "reduce" or shape the boost profiel witou a re-flash fro the track etc. Just a thought.
[/TRACK mode and it'll be labeled STM!

Thanks for the pics and advice. I'm sure Brainstorm/Roshan will have the car tuned in for my driving style well before I can start driving a clutch car again. The hard part will be keeping out of the car before my doc says the knee is OK.
The only performance mod I've made prior to this is the Nismo exhaust. I will be adding Helix test pipes along with the TT kit.
I had a baseline (no mods) dyno run on a Dynojet and got 231 RWHP and 222 torque. I was surprised at the results achieved by Brainstorm.
If you get down to the shop again more pics would be appreciated.
Thanks again.
