Default Greddy Evo2 w/ test pipes or HF cats?

Hey guys I need some opinions on this matter. I am gettin the Greddy EVO2 exhaust and just wanted to know what should I go with. I dont care about emissions issues anyways since I am already TT. I want something with high gains but doesnt rattle or sound ugly. I just need pros and cons for each. THanks

I would say get resonated Test pipes - I just bought a set of Labree resonated. I'm not TT, but I am running the EVO2

If emissions is no issue, than test pipes all the way.

Even better with a TT setup .

okay now I need to know if I should get resonated test pipes or regular test pipes. I heard many of the people here saying with the regular test pipes, you get like a raspy sound to it as well.

I havent got it yet thats why I am posting a poll. I guess I am going with the Evo2 w/ test pipes. Unless you guys suggest a different exhaust system.

Go with the Test Pipes (no resonator) and the Evo II exhaust. No resonator is needed because the Evo II is a pretty quite exhaust set up. I worried about the same thing because I didn't want my car to sound raspy either, but ended up going with the Helix test pipes (no resonators) and the Evo II. It sounds great with absolutely no hint of rasp. As far as power goes, you should be able to pick up a lot of power. For example, with my Borla TD exhaust and RT High Flow Cats I put down 404 rwhp. After install of the test pipes and Evo II exhaust I now put down 444.5 rwhp at the same boost level (8 psi). It's an amazing set up.

does the test pipes throw the check engine light on? Or can you trick the emanage to not throw the check engine light? I dont want the check engine light on.

I have no SES light. The shop installed something to trick it. A while back, SkiDDazle posted a thread on here on how to trick the ECU. In fact, I think he was selling a kit for a few bucks.

I couldnt get hold of Skidazzle, no reply. Do you need 2 of these kits, one for each bank?? Cant seem to get a definate answer on this one. If you could find out what exactly you had installed and where to get it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I have the test pipes with res, and no SES light
It has come on a couple times, and I just reset it

If yours stays on, and will not reset, you can make what Skidazzle did.

I have a O2 simulator that will make your SES light go off. I'm selling for $30. PM me and I'll give you more info and pics if needed. I used to have test pipes, now I have RT cats and don't need the simulator anymore. It's a 15 min. install and works great, never had the check engine light again.

I am going with Greddy Evo2 and Helix right now. Sounds good? I seen some huge gains with the Evo2 exhaust combined with test pipes.
