Default Stillen Engine Damper Rev

So since the weather was nice this weekend here in Boston I deceided to install my Stillen engine damper. The instructions where quite clear but the diagrams were a real PITA. The tools that you will need when installing the damper are are a 1/2 rachet with an extra long extension, 10mm, 12mm socket, a 14mm socket and, a flat head screw driver. The install time took me about an hour. The most difficult part in doing this mod was tightening the screw on the non-adjustable end of the damper that sits on the frame rail of the car. After the install I must say that the difference is highly noticeable! I can only speak on behalf of the 6MT owners. I felt an increase in torque and the power and best of all no vibration anywhere. This little mod is worth every $85.00 and then some . Prior to the install I notice that the engine would vibrate a lot so I did some research on the product and decided to give it a try. I'll take some better shots later on after degreasing my motor (as you can see I got some grease on the damper after lubing the holes for the bolts )

Does this mount at a different spot on the G than the Z cause I could have swore I've seen them mounted from the strut tower on Z's and this doesn't appear to be even close to that.

^I'm not sure about the Z but I've seen them there too on some Z's. On the G they make relocate one ground wire to the coolant hose bracket.

so does it help reduce the vibration on the shifter while you're driving on the freeway?

I think I'm going to get a Topspeed one. Less than 1/2 the price of the Stillen, and works the same. Locals that have it gave great reviews.

Your probably thinking about the Stillen master brake cylinder dampner, it mounts to the drivers side strut bar.

I have both Stillen products, great low cost mods with a performance difference.
